one of the biggest whiners/crybabies about the canucks and benning is preaching "Learn how to make yourself happy and life as a whole becomes much easier."

Well, clearly not dude. You're one of the most negative people when it comes to a hockey team so....

The faster you can convince your monkey brain that shit ain't ever gonna be the same again, the faster you can evolve your personal neuro-chemical reward systems to create new stimulating dopamine generating pathways which is a path to personal happiness.

Whether shit will ever ACTUALLY return to the "normal" should be completely irrelevant to your current personal happiness.

Use this time to learn ways to make yourself happy in the absence of sports.

Easier said than done I know.

Which is why I recommend the usage of psilocybin to help you disentangle your emotional brain from your logical brain.

Learn how to make yourself happy and life as a whole becomes much easier.

What this shows are areas of decreased blood flow, relative to placebo, in various areas
of the brain while the participants were on psilocybin. The areas of greatest decrease
included the cingulate cortex, the thalamus, and medial prefrontal cortex. The thalamus is
involved in a lot of relays and processing from one area of the brain to another, while the
cingulate cortex is involved in emotional processing, and the medial prefrontal cortex in
higher executive function.

See the MRI image at the link. This is your brain on psilocybin. Are there any questions.

HAHA well done, although I do believe you're a hopeless romantic Meg.

Well in Mathpwny's case, all of the above, and also mixed in with his daily bowl of Cheerios.

Remember when we used to feed him all those shit sandwiches?

Well he wouldn't eat them without the mushrooms, a man of principle?

Ahh, caught your edit.

No matter how you slice it though, mushrooms should never be your main staple.

You are what you eat and I'm afraid young Mathpwny is a fungus.

You see, his brain has been utterly ravaged by the effects of this powerful hallucinogen.

In fact I don't believe I've seen a case like this since my travels in Oaxaca.

There, high on a mountaintop, I encountered a tiny Mixtec chieftain named Chuicico.

He was sitting upon his backside, staring deeply into the sun and chanting the name of Mike Gillis.

I gave him a granola bar in exchange for a backpack of fine gold jewelry and his daughters Donaji and Mavina.

Ahh yes my friend, I suppose you could say I owe a lot to the effects of psilocybin on the little people.

MS posting about Wetcoaster, he posted "I couldn’t stand the guy and never figured out why people liked him so much." in a Wetcoaster thread where most of us got the confirmation of his passing from years ago. I always wondered if he left HF or passed away - turns out to be the worst.

"Was a mix of terrible hockey takes (hated Ryan Kesler for years) and thread spamming with his Quinn vendetta and cut/paste 5000 word Quinn rant. "

lol

always feels the need to make his presence known

Long before HF, Wetcoaster posted at Central.

(same time frame as MS at Central I believe)

He took issue with some of the comments posted about him by some of the usual suspects.

Ended up in an EPIC debate with UWSaint on the finer points of "liable".

Wettie threatening to sue had the security guard sweating.

Long story short, U-dub crushed him and His Wetness slinked off to HF.

(eventually MS did the same of course)

I wouldn't ever post that story in a remembrance thread after his passing though!

I'd just say he was someone to be reckoned with and leave it at that...

Not going to lie, I see quite a few similarities with this board and HF. This board just thinks they're tougher than everyone else and it's getting pretty old reading about it already. I don't know, this post kind of just hammered the point home for me. Too many posts I read are caught up on shit that went personal - like, no wonder people just leave. It's as much of a mob-mentality here as it is on HF, from what I'm reading about these stories.

There is a clique everywhere you go, whether it be Canucks Twitter, CDC, HF, reddit or here. Eventually you find your clique and think your superior to the others. Personally, I think I'm above Canucks reddit and Canucks twitter, although I tweet sometimes, but I don't have 50K tweets like others. That's the sense I get here.

It's really like one big, online high school.
