we only have two grade A prospects

Maybe 2 or 3 grade B prospects

The prospect system was a disaster due to the previous regime.

Allvin has been given some resources, like brain cells and competent people to roll with. i still see Fredo as too involved.

Willander shouldn't and won't be going anywhere. If NeckAsh was so good he'd have been a bigger factor for Carolina.

We shouldn't be adding any more 8 mill a year floaters

For some the Lindholm trade was premature. Significant assets given up during a run where we had not yet shown we were really contenders. For me, I liked what Lindholm brought and would be fine if we could find a reasonable way to bring him back, but I did feel it was too much too soon in our resurgence.
My feelings have been mixed on the trade but this was my main beef with the acquisition…to early for where this team is at for a pure rental. There could’ve been cheaper alternative solutions to reward the players for the season although they didn’t deserve much rewarding after the all-star game. I do find it peculiar that the moment Lindholm arrived was the moment they started to not play well.

We had a lot of our bottom 9 forwards punching above their weight this year too at least at the start of the year, giving us a big points cushion.. some will leave and others will likely not be as great.. I expect unless we make some major trade that changes everything, we are looking more at being a third place finish/wild card team, more in line with what we thought we'd be heading in to this past season.

And if so, we should be planning for the future with that in mind.. so looking at our window being more in the 2-5 years from now range.

Donny is right. He’s the antithesis of a floater. Cuz obviously hasn’t watched many Canes games. Necas has a high compete motor and is one of the best skaters in the game.

Have you seen him play? I haven’t. Not many people outside of Boston saw his season in college. I worry about “the man, the myth, the legend”

We all saw him at the World Juniors.

Rumours swirling that Nucks are trying to obtain the rights to Jake Guentzel.

Rumours say the feelings are mutual, what with the Pittsburgh connection.

Guentzel would be perfect on Petey's wing in my opinion.

Only problem is he'll be 30 by puck drop.

Still I say... Make it so.

Big ask, if it is just for his rights. If they have a deal in place, then 'Do it.'
