Call me insensitive, but between Brock’s mental fragility, Pettersson’s delicate demeanour and Demko’s knarly knee, this teams core has the strength of a newborn fawn. The lack of team toughness is one thing, but the mental ineptitude of these pathetic spoon-fed Gen Zers is downright embarrassing.
Bunch of pussies representing this team.
No franchise players. A paltry THREE fuckin’ Canadians, zero truculence, no entertainment value, modest prospective youth in the system, incompetent ownership and a superannuated senior staff.
Other than that, I really like the way things are shaping up.

Good thing he makes less than 6.Mëds wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 12:21 pmI submit that a middle pairing dman worthy of $6M does not look that much worse regardless of partner. The partner can lead to a poorer +/- and whatever fancy stats you want to employ, and he may be out of position a bit more often trying to cover for his partner. However, it doesn’t lead to being out battled, outsmarted, taking stupid penalties, and making bad passes, to the same level that we have seen. He has no shot to speak of, and he’s not rushing the puck or handling it with much efficiency.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 11:49 amwhen he was paired with Myers, everyone looks worse.
One can argue he’s a reliable #4 on a team with Hughes, Hronek, and (for example) Tanev, behind a competent forward grouping. He has never shown being worthy of $6M + NMC.
Good talk. MCP approves!BoS wrote: ↑Thu Jan 15, 2026 4:25 pm My god has this franchise had to coddle this kid.

He’s definitely bigger than Dahlen. If Bystedt alone is the return, that wouldn’t be a bad return. Let’s not forget that Sherwood is a middle-six winger.
Far fucking out man. That's deep
More like the plywood tanks the Canadian Army had in the 30's. Looked like a tank, but everyone knew better.
