Ya know I don't like to kick sand in a fallen team but I just gotta share this tidbit.
via: Jimmy_Riarh

Crashing and burning is an understatement for the Flames.. 2018 picks traded:
-1st: to NYI (Hamonic)
-2nd: to NYI (Hamonic)
-3rd: to Arizona (Smith, if #Flames miss playoffs this season)
-5th: to Arizona (Stone)
I haven't been following them, but since Smith was injured for quite a bit, I'm assuming that was their demise?

Something's gotta give. That team had high expectations this year.

Could Burkie/Treliving possibly survive missing the playoffs when they're going into the next two drafts with 2 picks in the first 3 rounds?

One of them will. But I doubt it’s the guy who made those trades.

Yeahno, Smith has been part of the problem of late.

.883 sv% with 4 wins, 6 losses over his last 10 games.

It was only a matter of time until the bubble burst.

(Smith turns 36 on Thursday and has has just one solid season... 6 years ago)

Their defense hasn’t been very good and they’re a one-line team.

I said last off-season they're an overrated bubble team.

And not much in the way of prospects.

I do believe I was dancing about in here when they traded away their 1st + 2nd. 8-)

Is it coincidence that Mr Burke was part of the management team the last time an unprotected 1st was traded away?

Go whole hog, don't beat around the hedge.

None whatsoever.

Not is it a confidence the Flames fielding has been abysmal.
