Rather see them continue to build through the draft. Losing Edler and replacing him with Myers is a step backwards. Next years draft is loaded at the top. I’d be flogging Tanev in the next 9 months and seeing if we can’t get another first next year. We are a ways away from being competitive yet.

You can’t litter the lineup with 19 year olds Blob. Your not giving up an asset getting a UFA player 4 years younger than Edler. We are still building through the draft, Myers isn’t stopping that

I don’t get the obsession with Karlsson. He’s not trending well. I’m more stressed about spending $11 million on a player for his past efforts who is injury prone and more concerned about his hair more than anything

Erikssons last 3 years pays him $5 million this year and $4 million in the remaining 2 years in which the last 2 years the NTC becomes modified. Very tradeable after next season or even no in a “hockey trade”

Benn is marginally worse than Myers and will get about half the term and half the $$ Myers will get. Then again you haven’t quite grasped that there is a cap in the league so maybe that’s why you want to continue to see the Canucks sign crappy players to max term and high dollar contracts

Sutter is very tradeable at next TDL with 1 year remaining on only a 4.3 million contract and only 30 years old and is a centre and well respected in the room, get over yourself

Sure I can see teams lining up to take these two air thieves off of Elmer’s hands. Who wouldn’t want a couple fourth liners for that kinda dough? May as well keep them. Play them with Beagle and have a 13.35 million dollar 4th line

As a a asside you might want to check out the Jets board. None of them want Myers back at more than about 4 million per. But hey what would they know about their own player? Keep on keeping on man.
