Tuna you are doing your momma and poppa proud. Your youth is average beyond the whispy haired Mexiacn and Rabbit teeth. Girl Face - Nylander is decent but please he is not great but more importantly the leaves future on Defence and goaltending is fucking awful. Our D future and goaltending future is top notch, oh wait Reilly and Gardiner are amazing!!!! Real stellar. Juolevi, Hutton, Tryamkin, Stecher Demko all under 22, Gudbranson 24, Tanev - 25. The Oiler fans will tell you, you can't win with a thousand dipsey doodling young forwards and no defence and no goaltending, you win with balance.BigTuna wrote:This thread is turning out great. The difference between me and you is I can see past my hate, I hate the Habs and I picked them to finish 1st in the East and Price is one of the greatest goalies I've ever seen. You guys can't see past your hate.
William Nylander is the 3rd best rookie on the leaves this year. Think about that for a second. The team's future is so bright. The Canucks are in deep doo doo. Your owner will not do what MLSE brilliantly did and tank. You have years of crappy hockey to look forward to. Enjoy!
And shame on you guys for already abandoning the team. We never do that in Toronto. You guys bragged about your sell-out streak when you were good. Now comes the real test and you're failing badly.
The Raptors are doing well BTW, how are the Grizzlies doing?

You have not been following Freddy Andersen, have you? After a rough first two weeks he's looked great. His save % is .911 and counting. He's 26. How is the future for goaltending awful? And they drafted Joseph Woll in JUne who has a great future.RoyalDude wrote:Tuna you are doing your momma and poppa proud. Your youth is average beyond the whispy haired Mexiacn and Rabbit teeth. Neilson and Dermot are looking dominant in the AHL for the rookies. The leaves will be fine on D. They also have the assets to make trades to address needs.
LOl @ Nylander looking "Decent". He;s playing great, two-way hockey and is one of the very best rookies. He has more impressive stats than Laine.
Again, you're letting your hate blind you. The leaves have the #1 prospect pool in the entire NHL.

Whoa, whoa, whoaaaa!!!! Anderson, Woll, Neilson, McDermott, bringing the balance for Zorro, Rabbit Teeth and Girl Face! Not, Oiler hockey all over again. In the meantime while these so called stellar D prospects are toiling in the minors the likes of Tryamkin, Stecher and Hutton all 22 years of age are getting rave reviews in the NHL, add in the best d-man from last years draft - Juolevi, a 24 year old Gudbranson and a 26 year old Tanev, yo have yourself one of the leagues best 6 D man crew of the future, combined with Demko - 20 years old, arguably the best NHL goalie prospect in the world and along with a 26 year old Markstrom you have a back end of a line up that will be the envy of the league for years to come. Anyhow, rock on with Zorro, Rabbitt teeth and girl face with the leagues worst future on the back end

They are playing fantastic in the AHl. How are they "Toiling" in the minors?
And your knocks on Edmonton look a little outdated. Have you checked the standings? I'm honestly wondering if you guys fallow hockey.
Freddy Andersen had the most victories of any goalie in the second half last season. He's heating up again as the season goes. His numbers are fine. He shared the Jennings trophy and posted a solid .919 save %. Im wondering where you're getting the "Crap Goalie" take? I bet you did not think that last season. Do you think the Flames getting Brian "All Stats Inflated by Hitchcock" Elliott was a better move?
As I said, blind hate is making you look like fools.
You're seriously knocking the prospects of the team that's the unanimous choice for best prospect pool? If Neilson and Dermot are not good prospects then what does that say about the majority of NHL prospects? They passed all expectations thus far.

Re: The Official CC "All Thing Leaves" thread
Stick to the subject BigTunedout... You are the only hockey fan alive who doesn't understand that you need balance throughout the line-up to do anything in this league, the leaves hands down have the worst future when it comes to Defence and goaltending, it certainly is nowhere near match of the Canucks D and goaltending future. Combine that with the fact that Horvat. Boeser and if Virtanen can get his shit together, the fact is our future at forward is pretty decent as well.
So carry on with your lopsided future line up Tuna, it's quite comical listening to you rave on about Toronto's young forwards when it's balance throughout a line up that wins Stanley cups and the leaves certainly DO NOT have balance.
Regarding my Oiler Leaf comparison, what I meant was the leaves are doing now what the Oilers were dijng prior to Ciarelli getting there, that is building up the forward position only, and we saw what kind of success that got em

So tell me why Andersen is a bad goalie. You're going to have to explain this. Why is a 26 year-old who shared the Jennings trophy and posted a .919 save % last season and is red hot now and has his numbers climbing not a good goalie? He also is the second biggest goalie behind Bishop, and I do think that's gives him an advantage over a shrimp like Bernier.RoyalDude wrote:Stick to the subject BigTunedout... The leaves have 22 year-old Rielly, 25 year-old Zaitsev, 26 year-old Gardiner and 19 year-olds in the AHL like Neilson and Dermot looking great.
They also have the best depth of forward prospects (Leipsic and Kapanen can't even get a sniff, on any other team they would) to trade for D help.
I remember reading on here Bernier was better than Andersen. How is that prediction going? (You guys need to stay away from predictions. Yikes!).

Andersen, the same goalie that was chased out of Anaheim for choking two playoffs in a row, you're hilarious.
Real stellar future on the back end, Tuna, WOW. Norris Trophies and Vezinas galore! Good luck with that

How was he "Chased Out"? The Ducks have an internal budget and wanted to go with the cheaper goalie.(And BTW, that goalie-John Gibson currently is playing worse than Andersen is-.906 save% and worse W-L record).RoyalDude[b] wrote:Andersen, the same goalie that was chased out of Anaheim for choking two playoffs in a row, you're hilarious.

Freddy Andersen has a CAREER .917 save %. That's terrific. And you're saying he's no good? Did you only pay attention during the first 2 weeks and then doze off? He's been playing great since then. Big, mobile goalie.
I'll betcha anyone (Hear we go again) he matches his .919 save % from last season this season. His stats are rising fast.
I do not believe you follow hockey.

Another leaf fan living under the rock. It was no secret that the Duck organization were none too happy with Andersens patented choking and no tears were shed in seeing him go. Do you even watch the western conference playoffs? The Ducks had everything but goaltending. Result? Playoff choke. Good luck with Andersen, no defence and Antinio Banderas, Mitch "my teeth are too big for my puny head" Marner and Girl Face, you'll need it
