The 4L V6 in the Tacoma is a thirsty slug.

Interior space is shit. We do costco runs in the wife's Matrix because it has more interior space.

Does the Dodge have a composite box or steel?

Steel box, hence the spray in liner. Composite wheel wells though, which makes way more sense than metal. Something Toyota should be doing since the engine outlasts the body 100% of the time.

Given the wars going on b/w Ford/Dodge/GM with making their trucks more fuel efficient, I'm surprised Toyata hasn't made strides in improving their V6's. It's pretty bad when a 5.7L Hemi gets far superior mileage than a 6 cylinder.

A new motor in the all new 2016 Taco, supposedly better fuel consumption....wait and see. A steel bed, I've always tossed in a 5/8" sheet of plywood. I had the rocker panels of my Tacoma sprayed with Line-X. Well worthwhile since the mudflaps didn't last long in the bush.

So my truck is up in the air right now!

Got into an accident last week, guy ran a red and took out two of us. Turns out the drive and his vehicle is from Alberta, prolonging this saga. This is the first serious accident I've ever been in, all 4 curtain airbags went off. I was lucky and have no lingering effects.

Initial estimates have damage at $21,000, now it's being sent to a wheel alignment specialist to see if the frame is alright. It's a 2012 F-150 Platinum with the Ecoboost, resale estimates without the accident would be around $38-40,000. I really hope they just write it off, I would never buy a vehicle with over $20,000 in damage so why would I want to take this thing back??

Because it's an Alberta driver I'm wondering if they may write it off easier because they can put Alberta's insurance on the hook for the coverage. Although I'll plead complete ignorance an how this all operates.

Could be looking at a new truck regardless of what happens! Likely something in the $45,000 range.

Just got my truck written off last week.

Hail damage. :) We got $1100 and get to keep the truck! 296,000 miles on it - can't wait to roll it over 300k.

Put a deposit on this one:

Should have it mid-October. Likely around the 20th or so.

No, its stuck in Richmond. Today or tomorrow hopefully, really tired of this rental Jetta!

I'm sure you get a great shadow, especially with the longer cab on the 2016.

I had a rental jetta for a couple of days aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. Can you adjust the steering wheel to a somewhat comfortable driving position and still see the gauges?

No. And it dings at me every time I hit 50 km/h, I don't know why and can't figure out how to shut it off.

It's a fucking stupid car. I should've taken the Camry.

Picked up the truck Saturday. Had them install the roof rack and gimme a bed liner.

Also took the TRD logos off the side, looks much cleaner without them.

I like the new 3.5L, I can lay off the gas and get some decent fuel economy but it does have the HP when you want or need it! The interior is a refreshing change, they've finally brought it into this century. Entune is easy to use. Kinda wish I had something other than an iPhone to utilize the Qi charger, but not that big of a deal. I've also ordered a tri-folding tonneau for the back so I can keep my hockey gear (and other shit) relatively dry.
