I never thought that I would see that boat anchor get traded - so, like you say, anything's possible.

11.6 is a lot for a 2C, but there's teams who have the space, and just might think he's worth the risk. Pump and dump if he's here when the season starts.

Zegras is looking for long term 9.5 - 10.5 and he is a #2 at best.

11.6 is not far from there.....

I guess this site should see an increase in traffic now that theres zero sports coverage for Vancouver as of right now. Until the podcasts fire up anyway...

Just in case other GMs (not just TLFGs) come here for advice,...

EP40 is the ideal piece on a contending team. He has attention to detail, strong defense and shot blocking, and his alien laser beam slapper continues to beat goalies. If you are in the market for a trade that says "My team is serious about a Cup", you need an EP40. EP40 is also the ideal accessory for a team that wants to say "Hey look, we tried", or a GM in need of a strong shuffling of deck chairs. Whatever your situation, an EP40 is the perfect complimentary accessory. Get yours now, cuz once he is gone, he is gone. But wait, there's more. Get your own EP40, and we will throw in a "Tankinen" for free. Shipping and handling extra.

That should chum the trade waters a bit
:D
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

It is to wonder who lurks among these pages outside of our group - besides BB's legal team.

Oh they’re definitely checking in here. They just don’t target this group as the demographic they’re trying to reach, they’d be out of work in a week.

Oh wait, they are out of work…

Just did a quick check to confirm, but we are the longest-running Canucks-only fan site, so people should pay attention. ;)

Code: Select all

Overview Comparison
Feature CanucksCorner r/canucks (Reddit) HFBoards
Pace of Content Slow-moving, deep threads	Highly volatile, fast-paced	Medium pace, high volume
Moderation Style	Hands-off, legacy users Strict rules, automated filters	Rigid corporate rulebook
Format Order Chronological (old-school)	Upvote / Downvote algorithm	Chronological threads
Vibe / Demographics	Older, highly opinionated	Younger, meme-heavy, reactive	Analytical, prospect-focused
AI wrote:The general consensus among the Vancouver sports community is that CanucksCorner.com offers highly knowledgeable, deeply analytical, but heavily pessimistic and old-school hockey talk. While it lacks the massive user base of modern platforms, it is widely respected for the sheer depth of its hockey knowledge, balanced by a reputation for being a tough environment for casual fans.

Heavy "Doomer" Vibe: The consensus among outsiders (such as users on Reddit) is that CanucksCorner leans heavily toward cynicism. Decades of heartbreaking franchise history have conditioned the legacy user base to view management decisions with extreme skepticism, making it a very pessimistic place during a team losing streak.

The "Old Boys' Club" Atmosphere: Because the same few dozen posters have controlled the narrative for over 25 years, it can feel highly insular and cliquey. New users who come in with casual, overly optimistic, or surface-level takes are often quickly dismantled by veteran posters using advanced arguments.

The quality of talk is arguably the highest in the market. If you want a fun, lighthearted space to celebrate a big win or share memes, the general consensus is to avoid it and stick to the r/canucks subreddit instead.

The most compelling angle of the site is the sheer longevity of its users. The core posters on CanucksCorner have been talking to the exact same group of people daily for over a quarter of a century. They have collectively navigated the heartbreak of the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, the grueling doldrums of the late-2010s rebuild, and the eventual resurgence of the team in the mid-2020s. The site is less about a hockey team and more about a digital pub where the regulars have grown old together, making it a rare artifact of internet stability.

Media people do not view CanucksCorner as a replacement for official team sources or professional scouting. Instead, they view it as the raw, unvarnished conscience of the fan base. It serves as an ideological sandbox where media members can observe what high-IQ hockey fans are thinking before packaging those same talking points for a mainstream audience.

Well I did have a virus so maybe.

But a good description on this site, surprised it did not say the hatred for EP40 is strong.

Considering there are about 300-600 bots on the site at any given time reading and reporting back to the AI hive, I guess we are 'AI'.
