But Carney isn’t connect to all the anti vaxers, anti government, anti everything that PP is.

Carney is just telling people it’s ok, we will get through this and beat Trump. That is what people want to hear.

The carbon tax is old news.

Carney saying he's running in Nepean because it is one of the most educated ridings in Canada reminds me of Kim Campbell saying her constituents don't understand her because they are common beer drinking folk whereas she is a member of the intelligentsia.

There's not much we can do anyways. Their economy is 10x the size of ours and there's so much interdependence that if they want to crush us they can. Same militarily.

Best we can do is lay off the countermeasures unless they make sense and do not hurt us, and don't talk trash/antagonize for political points.

Trump is clueless about economics and his objective of restoring US manufacturing will not be a quick fix. Think a decade or more.
All his tariffs and EOs will eventually come home to roost and swing voter sentiment or some Republicans will break ranks. Assuming the fascism doesn't impact midterms, he may lose power soon enough.

Thomas Keeper, Liberal candidate in Calgary force to step aside as Juno News uncovered statements that he forces his wife to have sex whether she wants to or not.

Keeper had apparently told his buddies, bragging of his sexual actions. One pointed out that wife or not, against her will is rape.

Juno reporter got wind of it, tried to ask Keeper but was never allowed to. Passed along the questions to Keepers staff in an envelope. Keeper called the cops who spoke with the reporter, then Keeper before informing the reporter he may end up with a Court order to stay away from Keeper.

Juno has posted videos of the reporter trying to talk to Keeper and passing along the questions. They also posted video of his concessions with the Calgary police.

Agree 100% but the Canadian masses want action and not sure if they all understand that Canada putting tariffs on USA goods is just making their costs going up.

I have been supporting Canadian companies for years. Always buy Canada first then NA then other places. I pay a little more but buying local is my thing. Only get my meat from local butcher and in summer buy all veggies from local farms.

The Doug Ford method is not the way.

I really like how Smooth is dealing with this. She's been endlessly talking to the folks around Trump telling them that we are happy to keep applying then with the raw materials they need and would gladly sell them more.

I can see nothing changing and Trump coming away with a face saving statement that he's secured greater access to Canada's natural resources and the MAGA faithful will hail his victory over those weak Canadians.

It has been two days since the Paul Chiang story broke and the Liberal Party is still sticking with him and his apology.

Mean while, even Liberal Senator wanna be Hebert is calling Cathy out on the issue.

Chiang will fall and it is a valued GTA riding.

If Carney, with his much publicized security clearance, has read the NISCOP Report, only he as PM can act if Chiang is somehow implicated in the report. Singh, Blanchette, May, who have read the report and are sworn to secrecy, have had very little to say about it. Blanchette has been the most vocal of those who have read the report but he deferred to what secrets are hidden in Carney's finances.

But Trump says he wants to replace taxes with tariffs (which basically are a tax on imports) to fund the government, like they did back in the 17th and 18th century, before Adam Smith had proven that free trade is beneficial to everyone.

If this is his plan, he will not be satisfied with minor concessions. He wants to put a system in place with high tariffs and import substitution through domestic production. Much like the Soviet Union, Cuba or North Korea have been so successful at.

Carney's plagiarism on his thesis at university doesn't come as a shock to me - he is still doing the same now - copying all of the Conservatives policies and claiming them as his own. What a fraud.
