Why say "die like a man"? So you agree the coronavirus can kill you?
Of course! Why would you think otherwise?

Strangelove wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 9:20 pm Hey Skyo, two separate posts from you today going out of your way to attack Catholics.

Is there something from your childhood you need to get off your chest big guy?
Oh I don't know, how about the Residential School system? where I'm a intergenerational survivor, meaning my parents, uncles/aunties, grandma/grandpa's all went through that horrific experience.
That's rough, but it doesn't give you a license to attack random innocent Catholics my good man...

Strangelove wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 9:20 pm And what makes you think masks/no-masks had anything to do with those folks contracting Covid?

Do you think it impossible for them to have received Covid due to not washing their hands enough?

Do you think those largely ineffective masks gave them a false sense of security resulting in them engaging in risky behavior?

Do you think putting those masks on-and-off constantly after touching all those doorknobs and counters gave them Covid?

Do you think? :mex:

Or do you just mindlessly follow orders...

Exactly, we don't know how it was transmitted to them, but they did say they were not wearing masks.
Exactly, you got nuthin...

SKYO wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 10:41 pm It ain't rocket science here, not no magic hocus pocus bullshit, every doctor, scientist etc says to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus or any virus for that matter:

*image*

How many infectious diseases were eradicated or helped stopped/massively slowed by scientists and vaccines? so we can all live longer lives now?
smallpox, measles, polio, the plague, the list goes on...

Now they are onto the covid-19 vaccine, and all they ask is people to fucking wear a god damn mask till we can vaccinate everyone, and that's too much ask for some retards.
Ummm, not "every doctor, scientist" agrees on the value of masks in a pandemic...

You assume "every doctor, scientist" agree on the value of masks in a pandemic... WHY??

You seem to be assuming I'm an anti vaxxer now... WHY??

Earlier in this post you assumed I'm a Covid-is-a-hoax guy... WHY??

And when I first scoffed at mask-wearing you assumed I buy into all "right wing conspiracies"... WHY??

Also I get the impression you assume all Catholics are your enemy... WHY??

I've made it very clear the only thing I'm talking against is the idea of wearing masks in a pandemic.

I've shown why I... like some "doctors, scientists"... figure masks do sweet fuck all.

I've explained why I think they protect at somewhere between 1% and 10%

... and how I think that protection is undone by other factors related to mask-wearing.

I've told you I wear a mask even though I'm convinced they do sweet fuck all in the big picture.

Skyo my friend, I think you need to stop assuming things, stop lashing out at folks, and start thinking.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

Once you get past about Bridal Falls it’s not too bad. Probably less feces play out there.

The Brown Wizard wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 8:44 pm Ive got a big ol chong beard these days and I'm pretty sure it filters out the 'rona as good as the shitty ass mask i have. The N95 masks shoud've been mass produced and distributed everywhere. It seems the world was under prepared with these things as they would have made a far greater impact if they were available
I didn't realize they were hard to come by. Little Bay Pharmacy has had an endless supply of the N95 masks since covid became a thing. They're not cheap, around 7-8 bucks a piece but I find them less bothersome and easier to breathe with somehow. Got a good supply of these on hand since everybody went hog wild hording. Little pharmacy had Lysol wipes when nobody else did as well lol. Cool Egyptian art too ;)

*hoarding
They could be KN95 or knock off N95 masks, the real ones are still harder to get. You need to confirm the version of the mask with CDC to determine if is good the health care profession.

In September I had to wear an official N95 mask and that is not something I want to wear for 4 hours at a stretch. As Doc pointed out, the N95 is not really a "mask" but a respirator and they require a very tight fit. A normal mask, even a surgical is not as a tight fit and you can wear them a lot longer. For walking down the street or even going to the mall you probably do not need an N95 but a surgical or a reusable mask is sufficient, unless you intend to sit on someone's lap.

A mask is just 1 tool and the least effective compared to washing your hands and keeping distance.
Hmm, I wondered about that myself at the time. These are just big-assed white paper masks. I have a couple of boxes of the blue surgical ones around too that I got at Rexall downtown.

Geez, I'd hate to think my cute little Egyptian pharmacist would sell me a bunch of fake masks... :(

^It's not her fault, most people are unaware.

Even a true N95 would not work on me due to my full beard.

And like I say they must be discarded after each use to remain effective.

Ricky Dhaliwal update on Ferland, looks like we'll find out this month what's going on with Ferland.
Nothing new to report on Micheal Ferland.

Not sure if he will be at training camp, could find that out in the next week or so.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Pretty sure Loui Eriksson was at the anti mask celebration. Can they fire his lazy ass too? He was singing with Donnelly and playing a harp or a skin flute or something.

oh, come now. I watched most of the games last year. The air thief only needs a mask when he's sitting on the bench. Seriously, when was the last time he got within 6' of someone on the ice??? Sadly, we cannot fire him for socially distancing in a physical contact sport.

But previous pictures clearly indicate him sleeping on the bench with his mouth hanging open and eyes rolled back. Oh, wait, that probably wasn't
sleeping. My bad.

*LOL* Good one. Anyone good @ photoshop? I think Birdbones, Baercheese & Luongo were there too. :P

Come to think of it, boy if we didn't have all this dead weight on our cap and had like $12M to spend to get 2-3 good players (say 1 top six forward and 1 top four D-man), add in a healthy Ferkland and boom! I think we have a legitimate Stanley Cup contender here. :eh:
