Bill Daly says the feedback he’s got back from most GMs is a desire to tweak the current LTIR rules as it relates to not having a salary cap in the playoffs. Daly isn’t sure they can tweak that with the NHLPA before the end of the current CBA in 2 years. But it’s on the NHL’s radar.

Actually, almost all hardcore NHL fans and the media love capfriendly
... they refer to it constantly.
Bettman & Co. should have some version of capfriendly at their site.
Perhaps THEY should have bought capfriendly years ago.
Oh well, someone will create a new capfriendly soon.

well if someone offered me a boatload of money I'd sell too. Can't blame them for wanting to cash in. But I am stumped as to why the Caps are buying this. Does it contain tools they don't have? Are they trying to prevent other teams from having this? Makes little sense to me though.

The irony is that the guy who started it (with capgeek) died in 2015 of cancer.....his buddy carried it on under a new domain, and iirc said that the originator wanted it to be a freely accessible tool for fans so he was going to do that in honour of the departed.
9 years later money talked too loud I guess.
