I think the shot-blocking and faceoffs have dwindled too, appears so anyway. The only value we're getting out of 11.6 is decent puck management on the PP and that's about it, sadly to say. The shot showed up in like one game and has not been seen since.

Same for DeBrusk. If not for tipping shots and banging in rebounds in front of the net on the PP, he's virtually invisible. A complete non-factor 5 on 5. Hope other GM's don't see this and focus only on 21 goals.

Mëds, you are correct that Hronek and Boeser have been excellent. Boeser's transition has especially been striking because he's been total shit for most of the year and now looks like a completely different player, even displaying prominent leadership qualities (now if only he can stay this way and not yo-yo every year). MP3 has been better as well (but still nowhere worth the 1st-rounder). Important to note I think they're taking the lead from the kids and not the other way around. Though Hronek has been excellent all year.

In fact, I was going to save this for another post elsewhere, but the most underrated aspect of the Q.Hughes trade is the emergence of Hronek. He was good with Hughes but showed glimpses of something more whenever Quinn was out of the lineup. Now that he's got the spot all to himself we're seeing something truly special we didn't realize we had. So we didn't just get the 3 young players plus a 1st, we also unleashed a stud D should he keep this up. The PP has been shockingly good, partly to do with Rossi who's also good at managing pucks, but it's mostly to do with Hronek being there. He's like the traditional d-men QB's of old with a big shot threat. Maybe this has been discussed already and I just missed it, to which I apologize.

Donny also makes a good point and may be the most salient. Do we really want Mr. Waternoodle to head into the off-season riding a 4 game winning streak??

I find that prospect frightening, Nuckertuzzi.

Dropping the last two is the safe play. Losing big at home tonight would be a nice touch as well.

I hope LA shows up and starts gearing up by playing in semi-playoff mode, embarrassing and demoralizing the home team further on FAN APPRECIATION night.

I hope the fans start chanting, "Sell the team!". I hope the fans start chanting, "Fire Rutherford!" and "Fire Allvin!" while doing the wave.

I hope the fans start bringing out the paper bags to hide their disgust and toss their stinking whale jerseys onto the ice.

What's FA going to do? Kick them out on the last home game of this horrendous season? That would be a merciful end for the paying public.

This all may sound bleak, but I'm just thinking about the future of this franchise. This outcome would actually be positive shit.

I've always liked this Kudryavtsev kid. Low bar, but I think we might be seeing him as a semi-regular next season.

This young D with the grizzled vet (minus chinless Meat Pettersson) is the only thing that is positive about this team at the moment.

I think Rossi has settled in and had a nice run post Olympics...18 in 22 I think it is.

I think Ohgren shows flashes.

I think Karlsson has manned up.

...I see more than just D.
DeLevering since 1999.

So Pettersson wins a draw on the PP and Debrusk bangs it in. Just saying.

Focus guys, focus. That’s twice they have given up the lead right after scoring.
