lever-age ... points to ponder

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

I had to get a slightly bigger phone so my fingers can type better and I can see the font.

Carry reading glasses to read the back of the effing medication and other food items.
That is one of my biggest pet peeves - everything is written in such a small font. I hate when I have to borrow my wife's glasses at a restaurant in order to be able to read the damn menu. I have enough trouble remembering to carry my phone and wallet, without having to worry about glasses. I do have artificial lenses in both eyes, and while it really helps my eyesight, it doesn't do shit for reading small print.

And to Corn's point - my birthday is closer to 1900 than it is to today, by 20 years :look: :look:

If you have shaky hands. Make a picture and zoom in. Delete the pic after reading. 👻
1953 just 7 years younger than my father and he still don't know how to delete a pic. I'm explaining it to him nearly every weekend. 🙈

You know, you old guys don't even have to do that. You can zoom in on anything on your screen, it doesn't have to be a photo.

Hey, that's why we have kids - to do all the computer/gadget stuff for us    No shaky hands yet

My neighbor is 79 years old and doesn't have a clue on how to use any electronic stuff. He can answer his cell phone and he can make calls, but that is about it. Texting - forget it. Good thing his wife knows how to use a computer.

In 2026 these songs celebrate 50 years of existence.

Hotel California
Don't Fear the Reaper
More than a Feeling
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (sounds like a Cuz bio)
Go Your Own Way
The Boys are Back in Town

50 years before that Baby Face and Bye Bye Blackbird were 2 of the top hits of the day.

I can verify that 50 years ago then felt a whole helluva lot longer ago in the past than when Hotel California coming out does now.
Great songs, even the one on the list I don’t personally care for (More Than A Feeling), I really appreciate what’s going on in that song from a craft perspective.

Forget where has the time gone. Where has greatness in popular music gone?
