Man the US is stacked in net. Canada's got quite the hole there.. but then their top 3 center's might make up for that.

Bumping this just to remind mods it should be moved to International Hockey.

Re: 4 Nations Face-off 2025
The timing for the tournament ain’t right for Canada but is perfect for the USA. The US team has the right amount of top end players at each position in the right curve of their careers while Canada went through a five year draft cycle (2018-2022) where they were not churning out top end players, which is why your seeing a drop in talent after McDavid, McKinnon and Makar. Seth Jarvis is the only representative of a player drafted after the 2017 draft, that’s pretty horrendous. The 2016 draft class is also interesting, it was an awful year for Canada but great for team USA - Matthews, Tkachuk, MacAvoy, Fox etc.
Now it looks like Canada has seemingly returned back to producing top end players at the draft, starting in 2023, with the likes of Bedard, Celebrini etc., with Schaefer, McKenna, DuPont on the way. This Maddox Schulz kid (after the DuPont class) is getting the hype as the “next” one.

Yeah guys like Mackinnon, Marner, Mcdavid, etc are way too old to make much of an impact against guys a year younger like Pigman, McEvoy, Tkachuk etc.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2025 9:18 amThe timing for the tournament ain’t right for Canada but is perfect for the USA. Don't know why we have two threads for this tournament, but this one has the rosters, so I figured I'd bump it up.

Re: 4 Nations Face-off 2025
Tonight’s the night. Effing 2 am game on a work night, but I intend to watch it anyway. Hitting the sack now and setting an alarm, so I can sleep a couple of hours before the game and a couple of hours after. Hope I get through the day at work tomorrow, but I’ve worked a lot of overtime in January, so I guess I can check out early tomorrow. Stuck in a meeting from 9 to 12 though.

Maybe this helps Petey get his mojo back, but he's gotta show up for Sweden to do well. Regardless how Sweden does, I'm cheering for Pettersson.
