Willander is a maybe. Good junior and international numbers don't always translate to NHL success, and on the blueline don't expect much from him for another couple of years at least.
Reality
Anyone who thinks he's gonna be the magic that fixes the D before Myers contract is up needs to bury their head in Blobs lawn couch
“ Blobs lawn couch”. Is that meant to be a literal thing? Because the first images that came to mind of burying your head in anything of Blobs have left permanent mental scars.
Yeah, it's a literal thing. He has a few of them. One on the lawn, the rest on the porch.....each one is covered in pizza dip stains and reeks of spilled beer and stale piss.

I'm sure you could find enough loose change buried in the couch for a slightly used box of Timbits.

Not saying he will be a 1st pairing but Willander turns 20 in February, and there is no reason why he couldn’t be a regular on the blue line in the 26/27 season. I expect, ok actually I hope, to see him get the 9 games next season as well unless he stays in college.

Hughes was 20 when he hit the NHL as a regular.....Willander is not Hughes.
It's not just the age thing. Few and far between are the defensemen who can break into the NHL as regulars in their first season.

Petey is the Ferrari with a mysterious electrical glitch. If you can find the short you have a 3 second rocket ship but until then...pouting sputtering and silent screeching at reporters
Miller is the 20 yr old lifted dually with box pipes and loud country tunes pumping out the open windows. He's can easily pull your shit while having plenty of throttle left but gets horrible mileage and wears out rubber twice as fast as you like
I only poked the pigglets cuz there were 2 of em goddamnit

The Richardson story is bunk. It is from 21/22,
Miller had 32g, 67a, 99 pts over 80 games.
Scooter has 32g, 36a, 68 pts over 80 games. His first season topping 30 goals. His third full season and the following year he had his best season yet with 102 points.
Miller wasn't breaking him, Scooter was standing tall.

Not sure I agree.
It could apeak to duration of said/claimed "badgering" (years) which leads to a straw that broke the camels back syndrome with the "victim".
Let's be 100% clear....lever is playing Devils advocate here (a byproduct of to many years of "what the fuck is it now" Canuck Fandom).
This is potentially (theoretically) a smoke/fire scenario BUT I/we clearly have no idea what is happening in that room.
From a personal perspective however I do believe Miller is an active and vocal Alpha Male and I also believe EP errs to the Charmin side of the equation.
Whether all that and the kitchen sink manifests itself into "room issues" or shitty play from #40....
(....shrug....)

We might see Willander at season’s end the way we saw Hughes at season’s end. He can’t be any worse than the next four after Hughes and Hronek.

I question how deep this alleged rift runs. Why the hell would he have signed on long term if he had a massive issue with Miller.
It's being exacerbated by poor performance absolutely but I figure it's overblown at this stage.
If anything I smell the GM buttering up the fanbase for the trading of EP

I keep coming back to the 10 games, Miller took sabbatical on. That just reeks as deep shit going on. When have you seen that in pro sports?

I agree with your theory cuz, it's got to the point where EP's long slump has begun to deteriorate everyone's spark, top to bottom. Ideally EP snaps out of it and his play gets back to the level it should be. But it's gone on for so long now it's forcing Allvin to address it one way or another.

Exactly, another reason the Richardson stuff is nonsense. I believe RoboSwede hit the nail on the head when he spoke of maturity, pressure, effort and hard work that goes along with the big the big contract.
Media blaming the the guy who brings his lunch bucket for the catered Hors d'Oeuvres not arriving.
