He may walk away if he gets demoted. Its our only hope
Wonder what LE's take home pay is with 13% deferral, 20% escrow, agent % and income taxes taken off, I read that Crosby take home pay from $8.7M AAV is now $2.572 million. (It's more than that as his salary is $9.6M, still that's a huge chunk of cash gone).Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 9:25 am LOL no shit nobody wants Eriksson. Do people want herpes? The guy is a joke. Paid like a star player who is one of the worst players in the NHL. I LOL at all the people that said he’d be easy to trade. The useless piece of shit is owed 4 million in his last year of his deal. He isn’t going anywhereunless they attach some serious assets to him .... and no Juolevi or Tryamkin isn’t near enough.
Eriksson is going to finish his six year contract here. Why would he walk away from 4 million next year?
He’s not walking away from 4 million for the 21/22 seasonThe Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 9:46 am He may walk away if he gets demoted. Its our only hope
Never say never. He may reflect on the loathing he hears on social media and flock on home to Sweden to stay.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 11:38 amHe’s not walking away from 4 million for the 21/22 seasonThe Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 9:46 am He may walk away if he gets demoted. So apply this to Loui, and his $1 million salary this year:SKYO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 10:43 amWonder what LE's take home pay is with 13% deferral, 20% escrow, agent % and income taxes taken off, I read that Crosby take home pay from $8.7M AAV is now $2.572 million. Nonetheless I foresee LE being calm/cool/collected and playing in Utica collecting checks, just like Andrew Ladd and Alzner.
Saves the team $1.075M in ever so precious cap space.
He earns 4 mill for each of the 2 remaining seasons then start reducing. The team get a 1 million dollar reduction in his cap hitESQ wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 1:29 pmSo apply this to Loui, and his $1 million salary this year:SKYO wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 10:43 amWonder what LE's take home pay is with 13% deferral, 20% escrow, agent % and income taxes taken off, I read that Crosby take home pay from $8.7M AAV is now $2.572 million. -20% to escrow: $800k
-13% to deferral: 770k
- income tax brings him down to $398k to ride the buses for this season in Utica. Doe he have too much pride for that?
Or worse case scenario, buy him out this off-season, save $2 mil in cap next year with only a $1 mil hit in 22/23.
I will say, I fully stand behind Benning's decision to not attach anything to get rid of him. Just get through this upcoming, messed-up COVID season, and regroup from there.

Doc I’d love it if he packed it in. But I just don’t see Vancouver getting that lucky. I think it’s wishful thinking and I think they are stuck with him. 4 years down, 2 more to go. His entire career here has been like a death march. If he does stay I hope they don’t play him more than 29 games over the next two years.Strangelove wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 2:51 pm Hey Doyle, Byfuglien walked away from $14M, just sayin...

I’m a Canucks fan. The Air Thief isn’t going anywhere. He will play out the string and probably sign an extension once his current deal expiresStrangelove wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 3:00 pmYou'd be a much happier person if you had any semblance of optimism Doyle, just sayin...Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Fri Dec 04, 2020 2:58 pmDoc I’d love it if he packed it in.
