Trump is gone in 4 years, the F-35 jet will still be flying while the rest of are long gone. Also the F-35 allows full integration with NATO that the other planes don’t have.

After multiple governments fucking this up it’s time to move on and get the new planes. It’s bigger than Trump.

I had been trying to imagine this is all part of a master plan but the deeper they get into this attacking allies narrative, the less sense it makes other than some kind of egotistical thing or another.

The most concerning thing to me is from an old 80s era interview with him where he was flapping away about tarrifs saving American manufacturing which goes directly against the Reagan speech from around the same time.

He's quite narcissistic and I can definitely see him digging in regardless of the consequences to his country
