Don’t get the rumours of a Hronek trade, especially to Buffalo. He has a full NMC for the next three years. If he is moving, it will be to a city of his choosing. Don’t think he’ll choose Buffalo.
Hronek's NMC doesn't kick in until July 1.
(not that I think we should trade him)

I’m seeing a Buffalo trade somewhere. Apparently Dahlin and Petey are buddies.
1. Tuch’s wife is from Vancouver.
2. Byram is from Vancouver, flip them Hronek
3. Peterka is an RFA and wants to be shown the money
3. Benson is from Vancouver, flip them Hoglander
4. Norris - Quinn’s buddy
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.
.
.
.
So many possibilities, they are endless

I agree with UDL on this one - best thing for Van is if Petey returns to a 85-90 point pivot who plays lights out in his own zone for Van.
- Mëds will finally go back to posting about something else
- Van will have a 1st line C
- Likely make the playoffs, if they shore up the 2C spot.
- Quinn will re-sign in Van
- Mëds will post something other than Blob/Chef level repetition.

Plotting how they can all move to NJ together I suspect.
Foote drives the tank and gets canned.
Petey keep acting aloof and playing like crap so he can be easily acquired.
Demko keep pulling the “I don’t fell well and can’t go to school”
And Hughes informs he won’t be re-signing in Vancouver.
Equals cup in NJ in two years.
2 years is an eternity is pro sports but after watching the last 2 years Cup finals and looking at the current Jersey roster it doesn't reek Cup winner to me...
https://capwages.com/teams/new_jersey_devils
Can't see brother Jack holding up to the physicality of the playoffs, especially given his mounting injury list... And if he can't stay healthy how long before the Devils decide its time to move on and look to deal him?
https://www.foxsports.com/nhl/jack-hugh ... r-injuries
If that happens, would the Canucks be a player for an often injured smaller skilled center on a long term nearly $9 million dollar deal?
Take care...

Now there are rumors that Dallas is shopping Jason Robertson. Gossip is gossip, but Dallas is no doubt looking for something - anything - that they think will help them get past Edmonton.

Robertson had a bit of a disappointing season. I’d reach out to the Rangers for Lafrenierre, apparently he could be available.

CBJ would be a playoff team with better goalies.
Demko and Sherwood for Sillinger and Olivier? Who says no?

Sillinger has plateaued, we have enough middle six Sillingers

Haven't really looked, but are they having trouble fleshing out a roster after adding Rantanen's cap hit?
If so, might be looking for top prospects on ELCs in return for Robertson.

Sillinger just turned 22 last month... get him Blob!!
Also, Silly is a local boy, gotta think Columbus would be loathe to trade him.

Doc, how often do you stop by the Fraser Valley Inn for a quick tall cool one on trips to the hardware store?

This, exactly this. Benson the X factor. Preparing for life after QH, sadly. But a fresh start yet again. Who is the new spiritual leader? Is it D-Petey?

I'm in general agreement with this, but my concern is that Petey and JT created enough drama to essentially destroy an entire season of hockey for their team. JT has been known as a bit of a prick in other locations but nothing even close to this so I have to assume that neither party was completely blameless. If Petey can be part of something so toxic to the team, who is to say that it won't happen with another new player that comes in? That has to be a consideration for management when you're committing the next 7 years to a player.
I'm not sure what they are going to do, though reading between the lines I'm guessing they are in conversations with teams and being offered little in the way of value. Again I'm glad I'm not the one making this decision as it's definitely not an easy one.
