Fuck me running!
Rutherford just went on record stating that they had a good indication that Hughes was leaving a year and a half ago. 18 fucking months ago, and it was all but a sure thing this past summer.
That lines up with.....oh wait.....Pettersson signing his extension and proceeding to shit the bed.

Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I'm sure, as more comes out, what's left of this franchise's reputation will be gone.

Hey, I got out of that annual subscription I had for the Abby games. They actually refunded most of the money. Thanks for prompting me to look into it. I was prepared to write it off.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 6:28 pm I can't even cancel Sportsnet because, for the first time ever, I decided to go for the annual subscriptions. I've got Canuck luck.
Sucks that you did the year with SN.

Rossi just turned 24 in September.Ronning's Ghost wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 7:43 pmI didn't say "old", I said too old to expect much further development.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 5:54 pm Rossi is old? Drafted in 2020, same draft as Lafreniere, Byfield, Stutzle. Is that old?
In the same realm of his career Kucherov increased from 66 points to 85 100 128 85 and up from there.
Pretty esteemed enhanced development at that age.
MacKinnon had his leap at 23 going from 53 points to 97 and upwards.
Necas went from 40 to 71 at 23.
Rossi is none of those players but it is a bit early to say he can not enhance his play and develop his game further.

He had a "good indication" 18 months ago?
Jedi master JR manages from feelings?
But he didn't get a sense that his choice would take an on-ice hiatus for another 4 months? Then come back the next season still on the missing persons report, albeit with an age update on his photo?
If this franchise wasn't already a league laughingstock, these retarded deflections and excuses will surely make it one.

I'm going to add... Hughes with Kaprizov and Boldy is going to be F' dynamite.

Serenity now.
Y'all acting like your Corn Flakes have been piss bombed.
It was going to happen sooner than later.
Dude wanted out.
Hopefully the time to get beyond the denial is soon.
A rebuild was in order.
It's here.
