So three years is the standard? Be consistent if you have it in your DNA.
With this many errors this early in their tenure? It’s concerning. I’m willing to give them another year, but they are definitely on the clock.

Then shut the fuck up. Let them work. I'm not allowed to refer to the previous management who had 8 years, but these guys are fair game after playing very close to .600 hockey during THEIR THREE YEAR tenure while the prospect pool is better and they have cap space.
Lever and Hank and Wiebo are Ranger fans now. I might cheer Flames to escape this insanity.

Back to sanity. Silovs just pitched another shutout to advance to the semis. He is strongly making the case to be an NHL backup. We are back to the dreaded goalie controversy. Silovs needs to clear waivers or we trade a goalie.
Demko to Toronto for Knies? They need goaltending and we need forwards. Plus, Demmer is likely to be injured at playoff time.
Silovs to anyone for???? Goalie prospects never return much, so trading him is almost like giving him away.
I'd keep Lankinen. He is good value and stable, in a small sample size.
2 weeks ago, I'd have said trade Silovs, but his "Bubble Demko" performance in the AHL playoffs make me reconsider him. If only Demko was healthier and more durable...

As UW noted previously, Suter has a very high floor. HIs utility is unquestioned. However, his ceiling is a low-end 2nd line winger. The exception to this would be if he pulled a Zach Hyman with McDavid.....but, you can't bank on that and it would be asinine to see him as anything more than a solid 3C who can do spot duty.

Canucks have Silovs, Karlsson, Bains and McWard who this season didn’t need to go on waivers but will at the start of next season to be sent down to Abby. Karlsson probably makes the big team and one of the three goalies probably gets traded if Silovs keeps up his current level of play. Bains can probably make it through waivers since replacement level depth wingers are not in high demand, but I’m wondering if McWard gets scooped up. There is always a shortage of RHD in the League and while he is likely behind Hronek, Myers, Mancini and Willander at RHD, he plays quite competently in Abbotsford. Considering his decent size and decent defensive play at the AHL level, he is a guy that some of the many teams with little RHD depth might claim if offered freely on waivers. Maybe the Canucks keep him on the big club for a little while as depth if Willander isn’t quite ready and needs to start in Abbotsford, but besides that scenario, he might need to be another trade chip along with one of the goalies for management to move out this summer, or risk losing for nothing.

Fat Fucking Frank Seravalli suggests Canucks may trade Demko to Philly.
Says "Demko is very loyal to Tochett".
I'm old enough to remember when Fatso tried to hide his hatred of all things Canuck.
Give it up Frank, no one listens to you anymore, face it, you're a clown.

Considering the state of things, and our dearth of top-6 pivots…..do we kick the tires on Toews? He won’t be pricy, he hasn’t played for 2 years, but experience and leadership is what this team needs. He would likely be 2C/3C at this point, certainly a 3 as he finds his game again.
If we’re hoping Petey can reset under Foote, it might not be a bad idea. Surely he can’t snub advice from someone who plays the same position as him and boasts the resume that Toews owns.
Honestly it’s a move I’d look at making right now. If he signed here you get him to Vancouver (request only of course) and see if Petey will train with him (again, request only). If Petey is still not open to input, then it is one more reason to try and move him before July 1st.

Frankenfurter Seravalli definitely hates his Canucks, it’s fans, it’s media, he’s the new Damien Cox

He hates the people of Vancouver, not just the Canucks. He said we have a 'certain douche factor' about us when he was on Edmonton radio last year.
I'm not saying it isn't true in some ways, but the fat bastard needs to keep his mouth shut.
