Your fellow Petey apologists are going to get upset with you.
We don't know what all Miller said/did.
I am on record with being okay with a Petey trade if we get good value back.
Yes I hold out hope he will return to his top form.
Don't we all?

As Blobby also said - the sweater. Not the player is what matters. I just don't think they would get good value back at this time. And even less when his NMC kicks in.
Best case is he returns to form, just not seeing it this year unfortunately.

I don't pretend to know but can the Canucks send Petey to the AHL for a conditioning stint?
I wonder if riding the bus for a few games would help him remember how nice life in the NHL is?

Current road trip could be used as an experiment. Dirty doggy it from salt Lake to LA and then back home via Seattle.306NucksFan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 9:39 am I don't pretend to know but can the Canucks send Petey to the AHL for a conditioning stint?

If they place him on IR, I believe there is a pathway to send players down on conditioning stints for a limited time. Jordan Eberle was assigned to Seattle's AHL affiliate last week for that very purpose.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 10:06 amNot without clearing waivers.306NucksFan wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 9:39 am I don't pretend to know but can the Canucks send Petey to the AHL for a conditioning stint?

Lankinen and Petey - buy high, sell low - brilliant strategy.
