Krebs is starting to separate himself from Cozens and Newhook, the kid is a beaut. Everytime I've seen him in big games at internationals he impresses, love his compete level and confidence, very shifty. Unfortunately for us he most likely won’t be available for us at 10 anymore, having a great tournament. He’s like a combination of Barzal and Konecny, somewhere in between

BPA - ideally that's a C, LW or RHD, but if not that's fine. Lots of good talents in the top 10-12 of this draft so will be interesting to see which way Jimbo goes.
BPA seems to be the tried & true method, but with fewer trades and 20 + teams looking to upgrade their D and what? 4-6 top end D ufa's, i say the Canucks should definitely load up on RHD-men this draft.
Defensemen normally take longer to develop so it makes sense to aquire them this draft as the Canucks are probably at least a couple of drafts away
from being able to make any noise in the playoffs.
Wonder if Soderstrom is on Jimbros want list

I'd say if Boldy/Krebs are taken by #10 we should trade back a bit *Seahawks style* move back in the draft while acquiring more picks.

Habs at #15 have two 2nd rounders this draft for instance, maybe something could work there, #15 could still nab a decent player.

I'd argue that Skyo. I think theres about 12 picks that have the higher potential then youre working your way into flawed project types. I would sit tight and try to maybe move roster players out for picks than step out of the golden zone

A few very different thing with the NFL vs the NHL when it comes to the draft.

Rosters are huge in the NFL with 11 offensive positions and 11 more defensive positions. Teams don't draft BPA, they draft for need meaning you can target the guy you want and then look at the teams drafting around you and their needs with much more confidence the in the NHL where teams tend to go for BPA and only 6 different positions. Add to that the players coming out of the draft either make the team's roster or are cut and unemployed. There is little in the way of a farm system to develop or store players.

This Harley kid is impressive, you can see why he’s climbing some scouts lists. Big, is a very good skater, excellent puck mover with good offensive instincts. Haven’t had s chance to see Soderstrom or Broberg at the U-18’s, curious how these 3 compare
