Sasson down to Abbotsford. Could be another paper move.
Or maybe Miller plays tomorrow?

Shit, it was a loss last game. I erased that part of my memory with alcohol.

Nick Kyprios saying Boeser's opening gambit is 8 years north of 8 Million. Now it is Kyprios and who knows who his source is and if it is reliable or numbers being deliberately leaked to spark the conversation with the Canucks. If true it looks like he is looking for Bo money and not JT money. He will be 27 when the new contract kicks in. 8 years takes him to mid 30's but it is Jake money I guess.
Too rich for me. I love Boeser but I just dont see 8 years north of 8 million as being a good deal for this team. But to let him walk would be a sin too. So to me if you know you are not in the same ballpark you look to trade him as a key piece in improving the defence.
Trade him the way you did Bo. get a first and pieces and use those to swing for another top 4 defender.
Trade him in Jan or Feb and call up the kid!

I'd comment but I don't want to upset a certain chef...

8 years is pushing it, and likely a made up media number, but let's see where the cap is going to see if we can afford 8mil.

Rutherford won't sign Boeser for that. Prepare your lace panties for him to be moved, especially if we are still a mid team by the deadline

He’ll get 8 Shmill no if ands or butts.
I doubt we are trading him, if we are in the playoffs.

Would you trade him if those assets helped us land another top 4 Dman as we did in getting Hronek? We know the kid will be ready at the latest next year to play RW for us.

If we are in the playoffs around deadline time you know and I know Allvin ain’t trading him, especially with how excellent he was in the playoffs for us last year, and, how badly we missed him when he went down. That leaves two options, either he walks away come July 1st or or we sign him. What do you think my choice is?
It would take a disastrous season for us to think re-tool. Trading Boeser would be considered a re-tool. You know Tocchet wouldn’t approve as well his teammates who love the guy.
My money is on Hoglander, the 2025 1st and possibly Lankenin as being the pieces dangled for help on the back end come trade deadline to improve the depth in the areas Allvin ‘and’ Tocchet consider needing the most help, which we all know is defence. I worry about Quinn’s playoff wherewithal, how Nashville found a way to shut him down is concerning. Plus we don’t need an injured Hronek again, so yeah, D is the target for improvement and those assets metioned will be tabled, NOT, Boeser. That would be a team in ‘re-tool’ level move. Ain’t happening

I can't see them moving Lankenin as wouldn't have a reliable backup, and we all know how things went last year. They would move a top prospect (yes, they're rare) first.

Hoggy, 1st ('25, maybe even '26) and a B prospect are all on the table. I also can't see Lankenin going the other way either.
