Speaking of crazy people...

The "popular vote" could not be more irrelevant imo.
If you won the election via "popular vote" both parties would campaign completely differently.
You play the game they give you... and you accept victory or defeat.
Folks who lose the game and then suggest they might have won if the rules were different
... are the biggest losers ever.

The politically correct.
John Tortorella called Ryan Reaves an animal. Reaves takes it as a compliment.
Kaela Carpenter, the wife of the Bill's place kicker, says Richard Sherman acted like an animal. Sherman claims it as a racist slur.
LGBTQA2, the acronym continues to grow. Why not call homosexuals, homosexuals, is that not inclusive enough?
You wonder why people are pissed off?

That is why some states are considered swing states.

Hey, griz brought it up, cited Alex Jones, who linked to a site that redirects to another site that doesn't report the numbers.
I'm not surprised trump won. The race was close and I said all along that his supporters were more passionate and would be more likely to vote.

As the law stands now, anyone who engages in anal intercourse is guilty of an indictable offence and could be imprisoned for up to 10 years. The exceptions are private consensual relations between husband and wife and any two persons when both partners are 18 years or older.
In 2014 and 2015, there were 69 charges laid under the law, though none led to convictions.
Quite logically so. 69 is pretty much the opposite of anal.

The popular vote shouldn't be irrelevant. It's typically what counts in democratic elections.
Yet you are right, you can't change the rules after the game. Trump won.
It of course means that the majority of the voters ended up with a president they did not want.
But that's the fucked up system they have in the States. They've just got to live with it.
Unfortunately we do too.

Some folks look past Hillary and shoot down the lesser evil Trump.
Some folks look past the lying mainstream media and shoot down the lesser evil Alex Jones.
Same folks.
Trump had to overcome Hillary, the MSM, the establishment, voter fraud and still won. The turn outs at Hillary's rallies compared to Trump's rallies also gave us a a hint as to who the people wanted in power.
It's entirely possible WW3 was just avoided ... and there are fucking riots in the streets?

Triggered! Where are you guys getting your "superior" information from?

My point was that Trump may have won the popular vote. Time will tell.

Mainly what you call mainstream media, but multiple sources, from many countries.
Certainly not from a certified lunatic babbling about people being possessed by demons.
How anyone can take that guy seriously is beyond me. He's like a 200 pound five year old with ADHD.

Time will tell. But the votes that are still unaccounted for are mainly from democratic strongholds, so it would seem highly unlikely that the situation should shift.

Look also at the House votes, which do not rely on the electoral college. Democrats were beaten there as well. A wholesale turn away from the policies of Obama and the Democratic party.

Per; I have read this thread enough to know that you are an extremely strong advocate of globalization.
One day, that will become a reality but it cannot happen as fast as you desire.
You are obviously a very educated man from a country that is quite enlightened.
But you must realize it is going to take generations to truly achieve that.
You take this election as a set back but you shouldn't.
The U.S. needs a respite. So do we in Canada. Believe it or not, Sweden, IMO, does too.
The dangers of moving too fast towards globalization could be catastrophic, really.
Right now, the way the world sits, at this point, it could be like two tomcats fighting in the night.
The result would be one mortally wounded and one dead because they fight until there is no fight left.
The most difficult thing for man has always been patience.

No matter who you were for, does anyone here think trump's win was about his position on globalization? Other than some vague lies about 'bringing jobs back' and cancelling trade deals (And who knows HE'LL even follow through.) I'm not sure that was his core message.
