Drance and Dayal are wondering if the Canucks may look at Brayden Schenn. Dump Hoggy's contract, a first and a prospect. He is 34 but looks like he can play a few more years. He might have a bit too much edge for some on this board and the fact that he pounded the snot out of JT Miller will rub some folks the wrong way. 50 -60 points a year, Western Canadian guy would enrage the Dude.

I would bring Schenn on board 8 days a week. His age is a bit of a detractor, but that edge is what we need.

However, I can't see him and Pettersson getting along any better than Scooter and Miller did.

34 years of age, cause we are that close, an old man Brayden Schenn away from getting through the likes of Edmonton, Dallas, Colorado, Florida, Carolina, Winnipeg, etc. Hurry! The window is closing!!

What’s the point? Place holder? A 34 year old Schenn ain’t bring us to the holy land. I thought you hated place holders?

Yeah, I like Schenn's game, but he's aged out of consideration for this team IMO. High price and a lot of mileage on those joints.

If management is going to pay a hefty price, let it be for someone under 30.

If they give away a 1st rd pick and a good young player for old man Schenn that would be the nail in the coffin for Chef regarding this management group. Same old same old short sighted bullshit, the Aqualini way. Meanwhile, the young, up and coming Blues with a deep prospect pool, get deeper in great young talent and the Canucks get shittier. I mean, I can understand if you’re a Have in the game for the final four with nothing in the pipeline but us? We can barely complete for a wildcard position, while on the verge of having nothing in the pipeline, lol.

@ the adult Lancer: I was discussing what Dayal and Drance were discussing. Not saying I agree with it. Schenn is a lock for 50-60 points. He plays with bite and he's a leader. He's signed for a reasonable deal for three years. The price point would not be cheap. There are ways to reset this team on the fly. Make it competitive for 3 -4 years, maybe longer.

I AM NOT saying Schenn is the answer. His style of play will anger some folks and the Three Amigos who thinks the sun shines out of JT's ass will be furious after the beating Schenn hung on Miller.

I think the consensus is in agreement here on Schenn. I get it that content producers need something to talk about, but you would think Tiny Drancer would be better than that. Dayal... is just one step beyond fan-boy.

Of the younger options being talked about, MacTavish is the closest one to fitting the Schenn mold - which is roughly the same mold as the guy management traded before the deadline which created this void in the first place. No more room for smurfs and softies - they have enough of those as it is.

Ya I would like McTavish or Norris. I would also like to move from Chytle. Save his cap to re-sign Boeser. I think Pettersson bounces back.

I like McTavish and Norris as well.

Also gotta believe Petey bounces back.

Not so sure about re-signing Boeser though.

BTW, a Chytil buyout this summer would result in a low cap-hit:

$281,250
$1,406,250
$718,750
$718,750

That's because he's under 26.

Same deal as Hoglander, as he's 24... so this summer or next.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying...

This is good to know and something management really needs to look at especially if he is constantly hurt.

Send Chytil and his mushy melon on his merry way.

JT Miller

For

M. Pettersson
Mancini
O’Connor

Ouch, not pretty.

Anaheim is not trading McTavish. This is Sekeres level bad trade suggestion,

I could see a bounce back year from Pettersson, fingers crossed. But how long will it last? Will he care to put in the effort consistently?

Hi All, been traveling lots lately for work but back now. I don't pretend to be an insider but I've heard a few things recently from people who are in the know:

- Marner definitely wants to go to Vegas and it sounds like there's mutual interest from his side. Obviously this would mean that they have to move money so hopefully the Canucks can get in on a cap dump or two.

- Canucks want to and are trying to trade Petey this summer. The Sedin twins referred to him as 'uncoachable' and management doesn't believe in him anymore. I can't say I blame them!

- Sounds like Ehlers is almost surely gone in Winnipeg - the Jets are not confident they'll convince him to stick around

I'll be interested to see if the team can trade Petey. We keep hearing how his value is way down, but for some reason every other player's value is up even if they didn't have a great year. I think if he does get traded it will be for a good return but we'll see soon enough.
