MacKinnon is a bum, ROR, Makar, ..., sure you want to play this game again?

That's right, bring in OEL and tell the kid who you made sure would have no arb rights/eligibility for offersheets that's his cap.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:17 pmTeam management 101... splains a few thingsStrangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:08 pmI don't care what his asking price is.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:36 pmWhat do you think his asking price will be if he scores at a 70 point pace next year?Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:24 pmOh yes it is.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:20 pm Doc wanted to use OEL’s cap as a cap for Hughes. $7.25M for a guy scoring at a 50 point pace!!????!?!?!?!?Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 1:13 pm With Nico Hischier signing an 8 year deal for 7.25 million annual cap hit, 10 million per for both of EP and Huggy might be a low estimate. The only way I can see Hughes taking a team friendly deal is if they make it to game 7 of the conference finals next season (whenever that may be) and the likelihood of being on a long-term contender makes him willing to chop a mil off his total.Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:33 pmThat's right, bring in OEL and tell the kid who you made sure would have no arb rights/eligibility for offersheets that's his cap.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:17 pmTeam management 101... splains a few thingsStrangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:08 pmI don't care what his asking price is.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 4:36 pmWhat do you think his asking price will be if he scores at a 70 point pace next year?Strangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:24 pmOh yes it is.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 3:20 pm Doc wanted to use OEL’s cap as a cap for Hughes. Who's a fan of Eriksson?
Nico is overpaid by about 1 mil right now, if he lives up to his 'hype/potential' then it will be a good signing. Agree that both Petey and Huges are on course to be paid more than him, I do think around 9 mil is possible, especially in the flat cap era. A home town discount with amount to around .5 mil savings on each contract.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 1:13 pm With Nico Hischier signing an 8 year deal for 7.25 million annual cap hit, 10 million per for both of EP and Huggy might be a low estimate.
