@taj1944

Hearing Pettersson will also not be playing tonight.

He will be at the airport making sure Miller gets on the plane.
Can't wait for the next game against the Rangers.
Petey gunna drop JT like a sack of potatoes!

Won't even have to wait that long, Feb 17.
Alright then :D

This draft only.
Oh fuck. I can already see what happens.

The Canucks will trade the pick, it will remain protected this season, and then next year the Rags go off the rails and land in the lottery.....and the pick hits and McKenna is drafted with the pick we passed on.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

The whole thing is a joke.

We offloaded a Man to pacify a Mouse.

So typically Canuck.
And so many seem OK with it.....excusing the shit return on the adverse situation.

Very typically Canuck.
What would you have done differently? Keep him and let this fester? Trade Petey and hope a 33-34 year old Miller still drives play when we are hopefully in a more competitive window?

You mentioned in an earlier post that Miller controlled the situation.

Shades of the Kesler deal.

Mgmt made the best of a terrible situation they created

We always did. But Miller was an asshole to his mates as much as the other team. He could be one punch away from La La land. Schenn absolutely crunched him in the yap.

JelloPuddingPop wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:14 pm No matter what you think of the person. I will 100% trade the 32 year old with 5 years remaining, than the 26 year old. Just makes sense. Petey has out played Miller this season when you look at most metrics.
Who in the top-6 is gonna win faceoffs for the Canucks now so that the scoring lines can start with possession? That was one of those metrics you looked at right?
One of many yes. Certainly a problem.

Not even winning the metric that most people like to harp on... PPG.

Only 2 of 6 seasons were PPG or greater. Now compare to someone like Rantanen who is better, more consistent and has a cup. They rightly walked away from that even with the cap about to grow.

Wait a sec.....they got a pic? It's not a draft pick?

They settled for a snapshot?

Very typically Canuck.
