So....
Who's the new captain?
Shit that's a hard one, probably run with only A's for now I'd think.

It should be 4 - drive Myers to the airport and call up Mancini.
MPetey Willander
Buium Hronek
DPetey Mancini
If they had half a brain between them, they should be roster tanking.
They have the rest of the season to season the kids a bit.
As soon as Forbort is ready to help he should be moved for a pick, as should Bluegar.

In on this too.
EP
Rossi
Chytil
Raty
Cootes next year for Chytil.
Draft one of the wingers or take Verhoeff with the upper level pick and bpa the Wild first and move a current D (Hronek) for a scoring winger.
Keep the '27 pick and draft top 10 again.
This can be achieved....

We are the dumbest fucking franchise in the history of sports.
No worse than the Arizona Cardinals, or the Buffalo Sabres.

I just hope JR and PA are singing from the same hymnal.

Chytil is a UFA after next season, at this rate with his trade value being pretty much zilch he becomes a place holder for Cootes walking him to UFA’s doorstep. Cootes will need to cook in the minors next season imho. The timing is perfect. Cootes gets a cup of coffee as soon as Chytil gets his bell rung in which is almost a certainty.

Lots of "Ifs" when dealing with youth
But certainly not more than Van was dealing with headed into the season with health and a certain player being able to elevate thier game.
I'm seeing a bit of light at the end of the tunnel here - if Van can grab some more 1RP, I dare say it might be a quick turnaround due to the depth of the next two drafts, and how bad Van will be for a bit.
I'd say someone needs to Tanya Harding Demko, but he will likely go down soon. Petey and Rossi are already out. Just shut them down, and get them training for next year.
Recipe for a top 3 pk for sure!

Hughes over the summer: Vancouver is my team. I’m not quitting on the team.
Demko, Garlund, Boeser resign . Everyone is excited.
Hughes at start of season lets Canucks know he is unlikely to to re-sign.
Hughes gets traded.
Wonder how his buddies feel now and would they have waited had they known? Would Boeser be a Leaf?

Tanev is hurt. Carlo is hurt. OEL may be hurt. Myers is looking like a fit in Leaves Town. I think their 2046 1st round pick is still available.

Or, their 3rd round pick this year.
