I can see him come up a couple of spots in the ranking, currently 14.

That's the only worrisome part really.....Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 3:22 am Now he intrigues me. Size, speed, skating, skill, points. Plays all three forward positions and draws Rick Nash comparisons. Ranked best professional prospect? Why is he not ranked higher?
Lavoie? Major consistency issues and he’s very old for this class, just barely missed last draft. He’s been dropping all year and now seems to be coming back a bit - again a very good prospect but there are better ones available at 10.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 3:22 am Now he intrigues me. Also Lavoie has similar points to Mantha in the QMHJL, just Lavoie was better for Team Canada and better in the playoffs - proving he's clutch in the postseason and gets better in crucial situations.6'4-190lbs Mantha
Brings a tantalizing combination of size and scoring ability… Has the ability to dominate games when he’s playing to his potential… Needs to improve his consistency and compete level… Only shows flashes of physicality for a player of his size… Will be difficult for teams to pass on to this point.

I could see the Sabres taking him in the top 10, maybe even the OilersCherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 5:10 pm BPA after the top three is Spencer Knight and he’ll be skipped over by too many GMs to their future shame. And then only I will be able to say, “I told you so!”
Paddy and I called Jimbro taking Pettersson!Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 3:28 pm So last year was all about dobson or whats-his-name....
The year before was all about glass or whats-his-name...
The year before that was all about someone else we didnt take.
Verdict- we collectively have no fucking clue what Benning will do and thats a good thing. These past 3 years he picked the least predicted player in these draft threads and Bennings off the map picks have turned out to be diamonds.
You guys were in the minority though. The unwashed masses wanted Cody Glass or that retarded looking kid buffalo tookStrangelove wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 7:11 pmPaddy and I called Jimbro taking Pettersson!Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 3:28 pm So last year was all about dobson or whats-his-name....

Not that we'll likely ever be making any further predictions.![]()
All anyone has to go on is whats reported in prospect articles and maybe watching a CHL playoff game or 2. Other than that were all basically just checking height, weight and which hand these kids shoot with. How the fuck can anyone here know anything really...Strangelove wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 7:58 pm We got lucky, to be honest most folks here follow the draftees a lot more than yours truly.
If there’s one thing I follow it’s the draft, it’s my favourite day of the year and I’m somewhat addicted to it - not saying I get it all correct as nobody does, but I don’t think too many were calling for Mittelstadt. There’s a ton of video and draft info out there and it’s not hard to find it.Uncle dans leg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 20, 2019 8:02 pmAll anyone has to go on is whats reported in prospect articles and maybe watching a CHL playoff game or 2.
