I fear the pipeline of top pairing defencemen will explode. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the league step in and take away some of the top pairing d prospects and distribute them among the other teams

Dude Blobs right except on Hughes. QH has 50+ pt potential.

D men who are puck movers are the new NHL elite. Think Lindholm Josi Karlsson. Hughes is in that category

-Woo would be a complimentary partner
-the napkin ship has sailed
-juolevi is dropping faster than anne drenins standards in the mid 90s
-whoever rathbone is lol

Those shades youre rocking might be a tad too rosy

Woo could be to Hughes what Seabrook was to Keith.....although it sounds like he might be more mobile.

Be a great pairing..... WooHu on the back end. :P
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Woo is an excellent skater, would skate circles and more around that slug and Blobbee favourite - Seabrook. Muzzin isn't much better. Woo is the perfect right shot D partner for the left shot Hughes, clearing the lanes for him and can skate with him not too mention he has the skill to keep up. That is going to be one helluva top pairing, right there folks, right there.

So we are completely writing off Juolevi, eh UDL? My gawd, stop drinking Bubbles koolaid of - "if he ain't here, he's crap!" The Tryamkin train is over? Are you mortgaging the house on that?

Blobbee - "trade Boeser for a top pairing D-man when we have Hughes on the way and replace with him a 2019 first round pick forward that he says is guaranteed to pan out" Dal Colle says hi, Dylan Strome says hi, Yakupov says hi, Sam Bennett says hi, Nick Ritchie says hi. Replace a proven superstar - Boeser for a 2019 draft pick forward?!?!?!? How assinine is that? Especially with Hughes on the way. How does this guy get out of bed everyday?

Projecting OJ as a 5-6 dman isnt writing him off so much as acknowledging his limit.

And i clearly said the napkin ship has sailed...nothing railroady

You are right though about Woo...he could be the best of the rest after Hughes. Lots to like in his game

So the book is written on Tryamkin "not ever returing to Vancouver" and the book is written on Juolevi's max ceiling being only a 5th or 6th D-man? Interesting. You really got Blob's back, right or wrong, UDL. C'mon bro, you're better than that, stand on your two feet my friend, lose the cozy comfort of the mob and try to make a difference.

With all that has been written about Trymkin, it is not about him coming back or not, it is about him being effective if he does come.

Lol at Dud.

If I was going to trade Boeser it would be for a top end YOUNG d man. A guy like McEvoy, Jones, Werenski, etc. If you think the Canucks have anyone like that in the system you are methed out of your head.

There’s a reason people are down on Olaf. Name another top pairing d man drafted in the first round that hadn’t gotten a sniff at the NHL level almost three years after being drafted

So with a top pairing D-man on the way in Hughes, long considered to be a no. 1 Defenceman in the NHL you are trading Boeser for a top pairing D-man while we only have 3 legitimate top 6 forwards in Horvat, Pettersson and Boeser and hope to fix the anemic top 6 forward position after Boeser is gone by drafting a forward with our 2019 1st. Top 6 solved? According to you that pick will pan out?

How about this Mr Patient rebuilder why not wait and see what we got in Hughes, Woo, Juolevi, Tryamkin, Brisebois and Rathbone before making such a dumb ass, hasty trade to help make you feel better about the current state of affairs of the Canucks current D at the current NHL level? Mr. Patient rebuilder

The Oilers traded away Hall for a Defenceman and traded Eberle thinking your favourite Puljujarvi and Lucic would be their replacements. How’s that working for them

I have yet to see any glimpses of an NHL defensman the times I have watched OJ play. Sorry buds but he is missing something important in his game that is keeping him down. Not just my opinion.

Napkin is never going to ditch the risky rusky handle either.

Nothing to do with blobs back. You need to smoke a little more sativa bro....the indicas are couching your whole outlook and shit

Dud, Tryamkin ain’t coming back. He hated it here. Rathbone will be lucky to ever play in the league, same with Brisebois. Juolevi will hopefully be a decent second pairing guy.

For a guy who spends so much time eating the corn from Elmer’s asscrack you don’t seem very confident in the plethora of young forwards he’s drafted over the years. Every day you jerk off how amazing these prospects are and tell us that they will be ripping off cups in the future.

Hall for Larsen was a stupid trade and I said so at the time. You loved the trade and bashed Hall left and right. Kind of an about face now.

I am not looking to trade Boeser but I’d trade him for any of the three guys I mentioned. Thing is those teams wouldn’t do that deal so it’s a moot point. Top end D man>>>>> top end winger all day, every day.
