Stamkos has been on a downward spiral the last three seasons . 10 million + annually would be a boat anchor within three years . I hope he does sign there .

leaves will have no problem signing him and Jimmy Vesey this summer. Not to mention adding a top 5 pick+ Pittsburgh's mid-first rounder. The future is bright :D

Stamkos will sign with Tampa.

You only get Pittsburgh's first if they make the playoffs.

And who the fuck is Jimmy Vesey? (don't answer that)

Leafers! ... always living in some futuristic fantasy world.

But they are still trying to trade Bernier, you know, that goalie they got instead of the one they should have.

Not sure why Luongo would have been the smart move. They do not have a top 5 prospect pool with him in nets right now. Bernier has been the tank commander.

It's over for Stamkos in Tampa. You're the only one not aware. A "First offer" in late January. LOL good move Yzerman!

Or maybe Yzerman sees what the rest of the hockey world does: Stamkos hasn't been the same since his broken leg. He's not even the best player on his own team. Maybe Yzerman understands Steven isn't worth Kane/Toews/Kopitar money. Maybe he'd rather pay Hedman $9M per season.

Maybe Yzermann is the smarter Steve.

Pretty much.

Although I don't think it's the broken leg.....he came back from that and St. Louis was moved within a few weeks. I think it's just that he doesn't have that setup man any more.

Cock'd up

Babs reveals he doesn't agree with the concussion protocol and believes if a player says he' good to go, then he's good to go.
"Well, I think when a player says he’s okay to play and keeps playing, he’s okay to play,"
He doesn't know what the quiet room is for or how it may be helpful.
Babcock went a step further, admitting he doesn't fully understand the point of having a dark room, where players are checked for concussion-like symptoms by team trainers under their own suspicions or those of a spotter.

"On our team, when someone is unconscious or dazed or looks like they’re supposed to go to - what do they call it? - the dark room or whatever. I mean, some of these things aren’t even anything. They’re going to a dark room? I don’t quite get that,"
He then admits to pressuring team trainers and medical staff to get players back on the ice.
"I put an unbelievable amount of duress on my poor trainer when he’s taking some player off the ice who should be killing the next penalty," Babcock said. "You have no idea how kind I am during that interaction."
The lawyers are licking their chops.

Wow. Has Babs read a newspaper in the last decade?

Former leaves and Redwings might be lining up at the NHLPA law offices in a few years.

It's part of the reason The Cock was roundly hated in Motown.

$8M per season (in each of the first 3 seasons) for a dinosaur!
