Nice to see Demko was also a full participant at practice... should be back in action soon.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 3:45 pm Boeser taking contact in practice. Could return against Boston.

Be nice if everyone (Boeser, Demko and Miller) are back by the end of this road trip.

I just read a couple of reports saying there is a good chance they will all be ready to go after the trip.
(Forbort too)
Looks like Brock will most likely play tomorrow.
Says they're being extra cautious with Demmer.

I can see why they’re taking extra time with Demko. The last thing he needs is to come back only to re-aggravate an already obscure injury. That would likely spell the end of his season and potentially his career.
Brock too. Another shot to the head would knock him out long term.
But what a shot in the arm these two would provide to a club doing their damndest to win without them.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
They're keeping their heads above water in the divisional race with key players out. I have no big complaints considering Petey's slow start, Miller's issues and subsequent absence, Boeser's injury and Demko's rehab. Even Joshua's absence was not without impact. As long as they keep their heads above water, I would be happy with them taking their time bringing back the injured.
The fact that they've been able to do so - hell, they won the last game pretty much without Hughes, but that may say as much about Ottawa as Vancouver - is a testament to coaching and depth in the line-up. Garland, Sherwood and Suter are making management look like talent-hunting savants so far. Not a recipe for long-term contention, and I'm eager to see what this team can do when it's fully healthy, but I have to tip my hat to what they've been able to accomplish thus far.

Garland, Sherwood and Suter, while including Blueger and Joshua in the same conversation, are the kind of key depth players you win with in the Spring.
Ideally, these are the types of guys you wanna draft b/w the 3rd-7th round and develop within the system, but in this case only Garland cost the club a real asset to acquire.
The defence, however, is a whole other discussion.

Hoping we'll be able to add Hoglander, Bains and Juulsen to that list in the near future.BoS wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 12:37 pm Garland, Sherwood and Suter, while including Blueger and Joshua in the same conversation, are the kind of key depth players you win with in the Spring.

Myers and Soucy have been coming into form lately.
Branstrom is looking like he'll be a fit here

I think Sasson has shown pretty well too so far. He's been playing center in Abbotsford but I think he's looked pretty good on the off wing up here. He is bigger and stronger and more effective along the boards than Bains has been up with Vancouver and his skating has seemed adequate.dangler wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2024 4:28 pmHoping we'll be able to add Hoglander, Bains and Juulsen to that list in the near future.BoS wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 12:37 pm Garland, Sherwood and Suter, while including Blueger and Joshua in the same conversation, are the kind of key depth players you win with in the Spring.
