Iran has no motivation to make peace. They want to make this as painful for the US as possible, which means dragging it out.

Well, I don't know Topper. I'm hopeful, but I guess we'll see. I personally don't think they've been having the time of their lives having their leaders killed and their shit blown to bits. Agreed that Trump is under the gun to end it though. Thec global economy is screaming.

The good thing for Iran, is that it seems to have escalatory dominance in it's own back yard. They can easily reduce the Gulf monarchies to depopulated nomadic bedouin states, and there goes all of those resources the world needs.

And the US has been involved in so many wars recently and offshored so much of it's manufacturing capacity that it is by some accounts running dangerously low on stand off weapons like ballistic and cruise missiles.

Word out of the Congressional Budget Office is the US has been borrowing $5 billion per day since since the fiscal year began October and the bond markets are growing tiresome.

Just heard on Garland Nixon's podcast that the Merorandum Of Understanding will include the release of half of Iran's frozen assets which would run in the billions.
