There was a lot of truth to that when Mario just started out. Fortunately, it was Gretzky and the other vets at the Canada Cup in '87 that showed him what it takes and motivated him.The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 11:16 pmHes 22. That 3-game series against the Russians was the best hockey I had ever seen up to that point. All games ended up 6-5.
People like to make fun of Krutov, but at the time, the KLM line was fuckin' amazing.

They should have kept Laviolette. We know Pete can really knock sense into players when required.Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 11:43 am https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/pre ... ead-coach/

If Rinne and Saros are going to play like they have, none of this matters. Preds are scoring tons of goals, but these guys have been sieves. At least Hynes has experience with such things....

Williams is 38. Man, I was where you are 10 years ago, pullin for the old dudes and stuff. It wears off when you pass the threshold.
You'll see shortly.

Williams has averaged 50 points a year on a team that doesn’t score much. Sven can’t crack 35 points. Williams is a playoff stud. Sven would cower in the post season. C'mon Doyle, we're trying to sell the guy. Do you not think other teams pay attention to what we say here?
