If I didn't know any better I swear Doc u were abused as a child... Not in a strange man touched me in the park kinda way but in a I was once a Leaf fan in my youth kinda way... U probably harken back to the good ol days of Darryl and Lanny and Ian Turnbull when the BUDS LOL beat the Islanders in a thrilling playoff series in 78... I can picture a young Doctor, decked out in his Borje Salming PJs that you picked out in the Sears Christmas Wishbook that Christmas...

But alas the Habs spoiled those dreams in the next round and the good Doctor suffered, he suffered through the Ballard yrs and finally gave up when Lanny Mcdonald got traded... You've been a bitter man but, thats all going to change this summer because this isn't the Summer of George, this is the Summer of Love.... The Summer Of Doctor Strangelove...

This Summer of Strangelove brings to Hogtown or as you once were proud to call it THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE Austin Mathews and a local Boy who gasp isn't 30ish broken down or overrated in Steven Stamkos... Oh how much I going to enjoy the Summer Of Doctor Strangelove watching you struggle with your feelings of hate knowing full well every loss brings u closer to what you really want... Which is the opportunity to break out That Mike Palmateer rookie card that you keep tucked away in that safe place...

Doc u can break out all the stats on the draft and the odds of why The Summer of Strangelove will not happen but this yr we both got that gut feeling that this Leaf team is Special... Just special enough that the Summer of Doctor Strangelove is a Real Possibility...
