I am currently reading East of Eden based upon a recommendation here (Donny). Enjoying it, been a while to get into a book.

Not sure if it’s just me but new authors seems to want to bring politically correct stories. I read a book written by a POC and the amount of times they mentioned the skin colour of the main character reduced what could have been a good book. Maybe as a Caucasian I don’t notice when an author mentions it in the book.

Let me know your thoughts on this, Fingers. Almost picked this one up the other day. Definitely on my radar. If you’re looking for another classic check out Stoner by John Williams, often referred to as the greatest unknown American novel.

I have to get the E version of the book, the hardcopy is very hard to read as the font is small and my eyesight sucks now.

Just reading Hail Mary, a simple and fun book.
