Sure doesn't sound like he will be selling the team as Dax is getting ready to take control. What do we know about Dax? Will he replace JR?

I'll take change in the face of ownership - just for the sake of change. All the more need for an anchor of stability, clout and competence in the POHO chair.

As an interested party in hiring a new GM for Van, and the process, I just finished watching the Leaf's announcement of their new GM, Chayka - and Sundin as Advisor and holy fuck man, I thought Van's media were a bunch of fuckwads. But having to deal with that shit every day would be crazy!

Steve Simmons literally called Chayka a "Liar, Grifter, Cheat etc." right to his face. They all questioned Pelley's intelligence and actual "due diligence" - if you can stomach that side show, worth a listen.

Sad Sundin is going to get caught in that, I've always had a lot of respect for that guy. Chayka lacks any sort of moral character, and is going to burn that place to the ground.

How do you structure a contract that pays him more the sooner the "Dorian Effect" takes hold? Like, $5mil bonus til Christmas, dropping to $4 at the TDD, and down to $2mil if it takes til the 2027 off season?
