Pettersson's only SOG was from a terrible angle early in the first period.....when the chips are down and the team needs a goal.....the invisible Swede strikes again.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Flames can't even tank properly
Having said that, how did the Canucks lose a 4 -1 lead??? I didn't watch the game, as I was enjoying watching the Jets kick the shit out of the Oilers.

Never change Mëds. Did you walk down the Viaduct towering over everyone eating some Almond chicken and stir fry,,karate kicking people in the yap after a quick bird ride from Yellowknife with your size 17 earthpads on the guys shoulders in front of you and wonder if you paid too much for those tickets?

A few comments;
Ricky - one pre season game with the full line up. It showed. All those "game pace" drills instead of real game play were a Travis-ty.
Deharnais and Forbert continue to be awful.
$11.6M elite turd line centre butt checks.
Artie drops his glove early on long shots.
Three stinky periods, not two. If the Flames hadn't stunk in the first chasing Miller, the game wouldn't have been close. Canucks played like they were at Fry's Corner in mid January.
What a pass by Hughes on the JT LaFluer goal. Who's the Bossy?

Never liked the $ figure with his signing but I will wait at least until the 10 game mark before I start bashing the 11.6 Million Dollar Man.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 4:13 amNever change Mëds. Went back and looked at the preseason games for 2023 to remind myself -
the final 5 games of the preseason, most of the opening night roster played at least 3 of them, some all 5.
Came out that game 1 and not only ran the score up on the Coilers, but looked good doing it.
I'm not sure why we completely changed the gameplan this year, but last night was the result.

That was a great play by Calgary in OT. The crossing forward with the Canuck defender forced a momentary pick on Hronek that created separation for Zary to dance.theman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 8:14 amNever liked the $ figure with his signing but I will wait at least until the 10 game mark before I start bashing the 11.6 Million Dollar Man.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2024 4:13 amNever change Mëds. In fairness, it's not just a one game sample with Scooter. He stopped playing the second he signed the $11.6 x 8 contract.
So it's more like 15-20 games + two rounds of playoffs that he's not been good. No sign of him coming back yet, I'm assuming he'll get back one day but it's not guaranteed by any means.

Flames look better this period, but our defensive system is solid, like a floater or a sinker in the toilet of life.."
