Don’t hold your breath. Allvin has got his eyes on Gastrin. Trust me. But watch, the one time we do pick a Canadian, he ends up a bust similar to Shinkaruk or Gaunce and Gastrin turns out to be a stud. It’s so Canuck ya know it’s gonna happenCornuck wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 3:47 pm Looking at this list, it seems (almost) impossible that we won't draft a Canadian.

The pick has already been mentioned by management to be in play. The old man trades 1st's. It's in his DNA

Yup. Peruse the mock drafts all we like, that pick is burning a hole in Baldie’s pocket. The question will be whether the acquisition outperforms the pick.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 6:47 pm The pick has already been mentioned by management to be in play. I would like to see them draft Aitcheson or Martin. As much as some of the pacifists on here may object, this team needs some balls.

Over his entire executive career, Rutherford has been trading picks like they are going out of style. He has no use for them. As does the Aqualini’s. They are made for each otherCousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 6:47 pm The pick has already been mentioned by management to be in play. The old man trades 1st's. It's in his DNA
Karl Childers, your thoughts?

Re: 2025 NHL Draft Class
I'm in this thread to comment on who they might pick. The milquetoast pacifists would not like Martin or Aitcheson, full stop. Then you have haters of current management who want to gaslight the place; 'hur dur the raisin and baldies and samich makers are going to trade the pick' ....take that shit to SKYO's thread. Same whiners never bitched about picks behind dealt before.

Are Martin or Aitcheson bringing skill with their alleged mean streaks?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Tue May 06, 2025 10:45 pm I'm in this thread to comment on who they might pick. Aitcheson is projected to be a top 4 D man and is a fucking animal. He hits like a truck and is one of the toughest kids in the OHL. Doc and Danny wouldn't approve. Check out the kids fights on youtube.

Karl
Defence isn’t the issue
We need top 6 forwards. It’s an abysmal scene, so much so, I can’t look anymore.

We also need grit. Watched some of those tilts.. this team needs a couple guys like that.
Our team would have been obliterated if we had played the first round against Winnipeg or St. Louis

Re: 2025 NHL Draft Class
Canucks need a top 6 forward now; no 15th overall provides that unless that pick is traded. But if its not and the best player available is a defenseman, take him.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 6:07 am Karl

Exactly. Who's to say they don't trade a D man or two in the next 2 - 3 years? Hughes, Wilander, etc. BPA.UWSaint wrote: ↑Wed May 07, 2025 10:30 amCanucks need a top 6 forward now; no 15th overall provides that unless that pick is traded. Re: 2025 NHL Draft Class
If they keep the pick they need to draft BPA regardless of position. Yes it sucks if we end up drafting a Dman when we need a centre but you should always go BPA. As Blob said we can always trade a Dman from a position of strength if need be. We know it is unlikely whoever we draft will be in the line up for 2-4 years so draft BPA. Otherwise, trade the pick.
The only HW the Canucks need
