I didn’t say hand out suspensions and bans like a normal mod. You can still respond with 80% of your normal content.

You’re chastising guys, as a moderator, in a discussion where said persons have gone after Christianity, primarily alleging the raison d’être of said “attack” is largely because of your own comments and behaviour.

Your response was pretty decent.

Given the general subject matter, tagging “Repent heathen” on the end not only undercuts the legitimacy of your response but, particularly from an outsider’s (or new member’s/reader’s) perspective, also the wisdom of this site permitting you to retain your role/position as a moderator.

I get that it’s an involved and thankless job. Your point certainly stands that this site is a cut above because of the freedom of speech permitted. However, I suspect that, were you not a moderator here (but still contributing as you do), the site would be just as it is with Corn and Rats holding court alone.

This is one of the biggest problems I have with NA folks. I've done a couple stints in rehab in the last 20 years. There are wonderful skills and tools to glean from this. It does more good than harm. But people will be stumped on Step 2 or 3 if they can't find that higher power. Sure, certain sponsors will glide a person through but it's false. I've never crested Step 4. Doc and others like to call me an addict or a drunk, but who among us has walked this path. I drink a 1/4 of what I once did but if I don't buy in to the Holy Jesus, I'm a fucktard. Very nice.

Yes, people who have completed a stint in rehab and completed the 12 steps of NA aren't supposed to use drugs and alcohol. I didn't say I completed either. I do consume substantially less than I used to though, so I feel a lot better in that regard.
