Paying a guy that much to play behind Pietro and Parayko on the right side seems odd. I haven’t seen many RH guys who play the left side.

Maybe their initial discussions with the captain on an extension aren’t going well. He’s a UFA at seasons end

Craig MacTavish has been released from coaching duties at KHL Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. A 4-1 home-loss on Monday to Finnish Jokerit prompted the dismissal. MacTavish leaves Loko with a 3W-5L record. http://www.hclokomotiv.ru/article.asp?i ... MOTIV-6856

The Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues acquired the 27-year-old defenseman Tuesday in a major trade that sent defenseman Joel Edmundson, prospect Dominik Bokk and a seventh-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft to the Carolina Hurricanes. The Blues also acquired a fifth-round pick in 2020.
After the trade, the Blues signed Faulk to a seven-year contract extension worth $45.5 million (annual average value of $6.5 million).

I can’t see why Pietro would want to go to Dirtypeg

Reporter Jimmy Murphy saying some teams are gonna offer sheet Tkachuk.
Over the last 24 hours, I've been hearing some chatter from trusted sources that an NHL team is seriously considering an offer sheet for #Flames RFA F Matthew Tkachuk.

As widely reported, Tkachuk and #Flames are far apart. More teams also thinking about trading for him too.
Hope he goes East.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I wonder if Ottawa wants to unite the brothers, they’d have the room for it I think.

I think lots of teams would pay up for one the leagues very best defensemen. He could get 8- 10 million on a long term deal from a few teams. I’d rather have him than Barrie any fucking day.

And the picks. Or the assets to make a trade

He turns 30 next year, so depends on the term you sign him to I guess. He’s only a year older than Barrie and averages 4 fewer points a year per 82 games while being a wayyyyyyyy better defender.

He's over 18 months older than Barrie.

But why are you trying to turn this into a Pietro vs Barrie conversation? :?

Lol one guy is born in 1990 and the other in 91. Until I see a stat that says players born in Jan/Feb burn out and retire faster than players born in the summer, they’re a year apart to me. Pietro has played one more season of pro hockey than Barrie, regardless of when they eat a birthday cake.

Wasn’t really trying to intentionally turn it into a Pietro vs Barrie. They aren’t comparable imho. It has been speculated Barrie wants to play here and will command around 8 million, not to mention some posters have lovers nuts for this player. I know who I’d buck up for.

Who knows maybe the Blues may dangle Parayko.

I know he now has a ring and all but i always figured Pietro was overrated. Hes good not great ya know? Definitely not a top 10 dman in the league to justify that kind of price tag...to me anyway
