You can still develop your own cheap young depth while you are trying to build a core. That’s what good organizations do.

If Alex Burrows ruined the basement dwelling dungeons and dragons fanatic.Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 9:21 amAgreed. Only a pissy little Canuck-hating schoolgirl would slam Alex Burrows on the night he is being honoured.
There’s a few 17 year old forwards at the camp as well. I wonder if he’s aware. The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 6:57 amHow dare you!Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 6:23 amHow many 17 year old D men got invited to Canada’s WJC camp?
Sounds like spit-balling. Not surprising something like this would be emanating from New Jersey. 1 + 1 = 2,Todd Bersnoozi wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 12:11 am https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/nhl ... oaMOSY2F_g
Man, sure hope this rumour is not true, they saying T.Hall for either Petey or Hughes. If Aqua forces JB to do that trade, the fans will be pissed. There'll prob be another riot.![]()
I don't disagree, entirely. But, if you look, we are doing exactly that right now. Sure, the guys who are 30+ are place-holders/mentors, and over-paid. Hell, outside of a few exceptions, most NHLers over 30 are placeholders (Edler for example). But, we can afford to pay them when we have our new core still on entry level contracts.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 9:22 amThe point is that all of them are just placeholders.. and some of them are fragile placeholders at best. You can’t count on them. Sure the PK will suffer without the experience of Sutter and Beagle or the speed of Motte. Bottom line is in year 6 it would be nice if this administration developed some of its own bottom six players instead of paying through the nose for them.Tciso wrote: ↑Tue Dec 03, 2019 6:34 amNotice how our PK has fallen off without Sutter and Beagle? I know, just a coincidence.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 5:03 pm
Expand that to Sutter, Benn, Fatburger, Schaller, Motte and Beaglet and you’re more accurate

Obviously, there's plenty there this go-round. He does mention Jersey and Hall, doesn't make any specific connections.
Be a very long time before there is harmony.
Boston Globe reporter Kevin Dupont just threw a hypothetical "if you are the canucks...would you trade pettersson or Hughes for Hall if you knew you could resign him" tweet out which led to the hockey world laughing at him
