Wonder if we can just put Tankinen on waivers? I would be surprised if anyone takes him and if someone actually takes him, they would do us a major solid.
Not with his NMC. :/ But... he has a 15 team list in 27-28.
Geez, if I didn't know better I would say Rutherford was trying to hurt us intentionally with a lot of these head shakers. How could Mr Aquilini sit back and watch this stuff for as long as he did?
I think Lankinen was an Allvin guy.
Full no movement clause for one more year, too.
At least the year after next RJ can send him to Abbotsford.

Gallagher has to find a new number. I guess he wore #11 in Montreal, and of course, we don't use #11 anymore. Sounds like he will go with #73, his rookie number in Montreal.
Has any other team ever "retired" a number because of the absolute hate of the player wearing it?

I personally endorse this hate.
The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.
Wonder how he arrived at that #, how many goals did I score last year??
Not a shot at Brendan at all, just couldn't help plucking the low hanging fruit first time looking in in a while.
Not a great move nor bad. An obvious one that makes a lot of sense with little downside.
Pretty much sums up my thoughts on what the new crew has done up to now. Mostly OK moves with nothing earth shattering thus far. Which is totally fine by me. We're still at mile/km 1 of a very long road ahead. So no need at all for big bold moves at this point. Plenty of time to move the vets with value. A goal should be having multiple 1sts & 2nds in each of the next several draft years. That's still very possible.
Not sure what to make of this year's crop. Like all drafts we have to reserve judgement for many years. A realistic hope is we come out of it with 2 real good NHL'ers down the road and that's why you need the multiple picks, it's all about increasing the odds.

Surrey building a 10,000 seat stadium for the Giants. Canucks should have moved the baby nucks there and added a practice facility to it. It will be at King George and 104th which is a surprisingly good spot for an arena.
Is that where the Lion's have their current facility?

Cotter and Schenn are September signings not July first signings
In a rationale world, your assessment metric is bang on.
However, Because of the month-long madness of GM’s (league-wide) beginning on July 1st, the remaining available players on September 1st is akin to promoting a player from the ECHL.
