Connor McDavid is a game-time decision for Game 5 against the Ducks, Kris Knoblauch announced.
The Jet Woo Era is over.
Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
I’m wondering if the injury is bad enough that the team medical recommends sitting out or if McDavid is finally saying “Fuck this. I’m not rising the longevity of my career playing through an injury to outscore Bouchard and Nurse on defense.”

Lots of respect for the Sabres fans who sang oh Canada when the anthem singers Mike shat itself. With all the bullshit lobbed at Canada from the current administration it's heartwarming to see the good side of our long standing brotherhood that should could and will endure once these jackasses are long gone

I still can't believe he signed that two year extention.
Can't find a goalie in ten years? Fuck off, I'm done here.

I actually respect his loyalty to the fans and close teammates for that.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2026 5:07 pmI still can't believe he signed that two year extention.

Definitely question his sanity though.

Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
He gave them an absolute gift with that contract. It's mind boggling that the guy's easily worth double considering what some others are making, so he took half to stay out of loyalty. That's not to say he won't get his bag in a couple years, hope he does no matter where it is.
So yeah, much respect. There were a few things that bothered me, like when he bitched about the Nucks sending out the top PP unit after blitzing them a few years ago, then of course not a peep when they did the same thing mercilessly against us a couple weeks back. But all in all, I really like the player and hope someday he gets a Cup. Would be wrong for someone that good not to.
Could still happen in Edm, if not this year I wouldn't write them off the next if he sticks around. An early exit would actually do that group good for probably their last shot at it next year. Question is if they bow out early will he want to run it back again or ditch now.

Ugh...Oettinger!
Re: 2025-26 OOTS: Playoffs Edition
He's on for 2 more after this one. Oilers won't move him until the TDL of his last season.....even then they might roll the dice that they can win one and keep him.Nuckertuzzi wrote: ↑Tue Apr 28, 2026 6:22 pm He gave them an absolute gift with that contract. What's more impressive?
Playoffs Arty Party...
...or Philly won a round with Darth Vladar?
I didn't pay much attention to this series, but why did SheLoves not play from the start? Do you think the Pens would have won if they did? Is this really the end of the Crosby/Malkin/Letang glory days?

The goals scored in the first 2 games were not on Skinner. But the change in Pittsburgh when they made the goalie switch was obvious, and Silovs made some really good saves that Skinner likely would not have.

But nevertheless being 20 years together on the same team is a dream of fandom and 3 cups together is prizeless.
