donlever wrote: Tue Feb 03, 2026 1:37 pm I read an article somewhere a few weeks back where the author was questioning the Canucks medical team and player care over some number of seasons.

He offered examples of players who had left here after battling ailments and succeeded on a healthier basis elsewhere.

As I recall he also used it to offer thoughts on Demko and EP40.

I was going to dig into it and do a fact/fiction assessment but never got around to it.

The fact that Chytil played (while obviously tentative and uncomfortable as Jello describes) might speak to validity in the theory....

....These Fucking Guys.
May have been the same article, spoke of the repeated "setbacks" in rehab, Bluger and Rossi were the examples.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Didn’t Celibrini’s old man have some critical comments of the organization following his exit? Or were these comments based on something other than medical staff?

Yeah...not completely nor directly critical as I recall but he spoke to a need for stability in certain organizational aspects post dumping of various rehab staff....

He's in Michael Ferland territory now, where a brisk walk can trigger symptoms.

These guys are idiots...
It must be hard for him to even think about walking away from that $4.5M salary, as he'll never make that kinda coin again. Hopefully mgmt will do him a solid and just buy him out in the offseason or just put him on permanent LTIR.

The money is guaranteed if he goes on LTIR. Of course, this contract will be his last, so yes, it's tough.

He has one more year left on the contract after this season, at roughly $4.5.

I believe I read somewhere recently that the Canucks, for a time, were operating with less than the allowable league minimum of qualified medical/training staff. It was probably Drance orJohnston with the story, but it didn't sound like it was debatable.
