Roslovic had a say in where he went. Maybe he didn't want to come to Vancouver.
Yah, maybe. But that's when u step up the game to woo him. Tell him as long as he's working hard, he'll get regular middle 6 minutes and highly probable he'll get top 6 minutes with Chytil's injury history. He'll get a chance to play with our top wingers (ie: Brock, Garly, Debrusk). He'll be regular on PP2 and maybe some PP1. Tell him what he wants to hear, he'll get tons of chances to showcase himself, so that he can get that jackpot contract that he's looking for. Heck, sweeten the pot if u have to. He's only making $1.5M there, offer him $2M. I would have even went to $2.5M with him. The art of negotiating a deal.
Some fans are saying we should have kept P.Suter. Roslovic is basically a Suter calibre player @ half the cap hit!

If we are healthy, I believe we are solidly a playoff team that needs it's youth to mature a bit, and a 2nd line center. Please, we don't need a fire sale just yet.
That's the thing, if the Nucks really wanted to make the playoffs (and it's pretty clear they intended @ start of season), they should know they need depth at every position, especially important one @ centre ice. Hoping that Chytil would stay healthy was a fool's dream and Rollovic would have been a great backup. Sure, he's not the best defensive forward, that's why u have guys like Blueger/Kampf.
Oh well, guess it's doesn't matter now. What's done is done. Missing the playoffs again and hoping to get a good draft pick is probably the best for the long-term future of this club anyways.
