Is Mark Carney sliding towards Fascism?

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Interestingly the LNG Canada facility in Kitimat, the first such facility of potentially a few, is exporting with tankers usually carrying 175,000 cubic meters of capacity. When you convert that to DWT it is 75,000 metric tonnes.
LNG spills clean themselves up.
But the Douglas channel can support the vessels.

C'mon, there's plenty of legitimate reasons for a premier to accept $75K in cash in brown paper bag in a parking lot at midnight.

OK, I can see that I left a part out that you aren't automatically filling in.

The channel can support zero (full) oil tankers with any reasonable degree of safety. Yes, the vessels physically fit into the space.

Meanwhile, down south (just for a point of comparison), fascism is alive and thriving.
President Donald Trump on Thursday accused several Democratic lawmakers of “seditious behavior,” calling for them to “be arrested and put on trial” for behavior that, he said, could be “punishable by death.”

The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify swastikas or nooses as hate symbols, instead opting to classify them as "potentially divisive"
I'm not sure Canada is anywhere near this level, and I hope it never is.

Any lawmaker or politician inciting the military to disobey orders is committing sedition.

It is already written into law that military members have the right (and hopefully responsibility) to disobey unlawful orders.

The Coast Guard bit…..WTF is that nonsense about and where in the organization is it coming from?

Sounds like breaking campaign finance laws and probably fraud. What part is seditious?

Not to go 'too' off topic, but the $5mil was a Democrat - she'll be charged.

As for TOPOS calling for the death of democrats, all they did was make a video reminding the military that they have the right to refuse illegal orders.

OK - back to Canadian Fascism.

Ah gotcha,

Certainly, it is a heavy boot. Probably a pair of Doc's Daytons.

That still seems better than being under Justin's Prince-ly heels.

The dood even did blackface during his Purple Reign.

Though of course, it's supposed work that the higher the rank, the higher the level of accountability.

The Canadian military botched that one in Somalia.
