Re: Abby Game Talk Playoffs 2025 Edition
The Tucson Roadrunners beat out the Oilers' affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, for the seventh and final Pacific Division playoff berth on the season's final day via the most wins tiebreaker. Like all AHL teams, the Utah affiliate has more toughness than Abby and will undoubtedly try to attrit the Canucks with physicality. Montana Onyebuchi is an elite-level AHL goon, and Curtis Douglas is a 6'10" 250-pound runaway freight train who can fight. Keiler Yamamoto leads a forward group that includes tweeners like Egor Sokolov, Cam Hebig, Andrew Agguzino, and captain Austin Pogarski. Robbie Russo, Max Szuber, prospect Maveric Lamoueux, and ex Canuck Kevin Connauton lead the way on the blueline. Matt Villalta is the workhorse in goal.
The Roadrunners won the season series by a 5-3 margin with most games coming before the Canucks season turnaround.
My prediction, the Canucks in two straight games in a short, nasty series. Having said that, Arturs Silovs availability is unknown at the moment and could be a big factor in the canuck's playoff prospects. Quality veteran goalie Jiri Patera has returned from a five-month absence due to injury and will need to play some games if Silovs can't go.

Thanks for the summary Megs.
Will be watching from afar with interest.
Yamamoto still around eh?
Connauton too (Chefs old pal)!!
Carved himself out a pro career with tenure that guy...

^^Where's Laval in all that Cherries? They were first overall in the league this year. Also, Bakersfield missed the playoffs; we're playing the team that knocked them out.
None of it makes sense to me, but thanks anyway.

Silovs is not only back from injury, he's getting the start.
Canucks are so deep McWartd can't get in to tonigyt's lineup, Akito Hirose has been so good lately you can't really take him out.

Jonny Lekkerimäki with a good early chance but he shoots it right into Vuillalta's belly.
