Tuzzi. Quinn is generational, some are already hailing him as the greatest Canuck player of all time. I do not think I’m out of line by saying he is in top 5 best players playing the game right now. You do all that you can to lock him in FOR.EVER. These kind of players don’t come around very often. If we are going to ever win the cup, he’s the guy to get us there.Nuckertuzzi wrote: ↑Tue Mar 25, 2025 4:57 pm

Ha, I was being ironic.
Watching Quinn the past couple of seasons it's hard to imagine he could reach another level. Then you watch the past two games. Not that it was perfect by any means in that the numbers don't exactly jump off the charts, but the eye test alone, man, easily two of the best games I've seen any skater play let alone a Canuck. As far as puck possession, speed, control, ankle breaking, and sheer will and determination. If only he completed that end-to-end rush in MSG, and then the similar rush in OT against NJ. They'd have to hand him the Hart right then and there on the ice.
So yep, we actually have a generational player here folks, never thought I'd see the day. Pavel was close but Quinn is there. The best we've ever had. Enjoy him while we can.

Watching Hughes lately gives me a feeling that I only recognize because of the dread I used to feel when McDavid is streaking about the Vancouver zone: that feeling that something good was going to happen with the puck on his stick. Very few players have been able to generate that kind of feeling.
I will say that Hughes is to defenceman what McDavid is to centres.
We are blessed to have the kid.
