Abbotsford 3 Manitoba 1 after an uneventful second period in friendly Manitoba.

After the teams lulled us to sleep for the first 17 minutes a hyphenatedly handled Scandinavian deflects a shot over the outstretched glove of Tolopilo and we suddenly have game.

And then a Moose takes a dumb boarding penalty on Di Giuseppe to snatch opportunity away.

Wow has it ever Donny. I've been touting a call up for a couple of weeks now. It's like a switch went on and suddenly he has an IQ. Early in this game he made a defensive zone takeaway and reversed the play up the ice in a way that would have been unfathomable before.

I really don't understand it, but I'll take it. And don't forget, he's a big solid dude who doesn't take any mess for good measure.

A lot of the cresdit must go to Manny. He seems to work well with the kids. Unlike the ptrevious guy Colliton who was wanting in that particular area imo.

Second year D Cole McWard is playing the best hockey of his career but no one is talking about it besides the Abby pbp guy Brandon Astle.

And rookie D Kirill Kudryavtsev is having a great rookie pro season. He's mobile and versatile with a nice offensive touch,
